Orbit 10198 Outdoor Misting Sidewinder 1/4-Inch Flexible Mist Stand (Colors My Vary)

So far so good. I bought this to hook onto our chicken coop. Our temps have been about 120 for a week or so and these little guys need a way to cool down! The other reviews weren't great but I need something small and cheap. It's been running almost every day since we've gotten it and it's held up nicely. No issues so far. It's cooled off the their coop wonderfully.

This is a lifesaver. I live where it’s at least 102 pretty much every day May thru September. Got this so we could somewhat comfortably sit outside on our back patio and have a drink, cigar, etc. This little sidewinder is awesome. It’s not a large system for a big patio like they have at restaurants. We have a fan that sits on the floor and this is easily shaped to fit around the handle. When the fan is angled right, we cool down up to around 6 adults. Cools down our area quite a bit. Although when it’s 107, you can only get so cool. If you’ve never had a mister, be aware, you will be wet. Not sopping, but moist. Just know that when you have company over it produces a tiny mist that gets on clothing, water spots on glasses and so forth. Some people really aren’t familiar with them. Also, keep your cigars out of direct spray (oops’) It’s easily bendable to accommodate most any area. These are also used around my town, I’ve noticed, for the adults to sit and drink beer under while the kids play on a slip n slide. I’ll be buying a second one soon because Texas is hot!

I know this is the wrong time of year to suggest this, but I bought this for cooling down. If you attach it to anything that is is FRONT of an electric fan it will blow the most amazing, fine mist over the area that will lower temperatures by >25 degrees! The mist is so fine that it will not soak you like a hose would. The water evaporates off your skin pretty quickly when the particles are so fine.

I bought this for my chicken run. The amount of water that came out of it was perfect. It kept the ground damp but not wet and gave off a fine, cool, mist (despite the fact that the water in the hose was REALLY hot). I loved that it bent and placed it in several different locations until I finally found the ideal spot. The chickens liked it. Looking back, the area that it covered was a little small, but I wasn't expecting it to cover a large area. All was going well for about 4 days and then.......it stopped misting.We have really hard water, and I assumed it was from the tiny tube getting clogged. I soaked it in CLR and it worked for half of the next day, but then it stopped again. We just get a steady drip from it now. I soaked it in CLR a second time. Because of the air pressure in the line, it is impossible to get the CLR INSIDE the line. Soaking only the outside nozzle didn't change anything. After less than a week, we are gonna have to throw it away.I don't know for sure if the hard water had anything to do with it not working. We bought a water filter for the hose just in case. I don't think we will purchase another one though. I'm gonna go with something a little larger for my 10x10 chicken run. All in all it was a great little unit. I just wish it had lasted longer.

So perfect for what I needed. I wanted a mister for my horses stalls without throwing out too much water, this worked perfectly. Uses very little water to create a fine mist, just a hair turn in the hose and would be great for any kind of pet area on hot days, childrens outside play area, anywhere you want to cool things down without causing a flood. Love this product!

Honestly in this case you don't even get what you paid for. I looked at all the reviews so my expectations were not hight for a powerful mister, I planned to zip tie it to a fan as one of the reviews had shownBut, 4 minutes of working and then nothing but a steady drip is a bit extreme in terms of a cheap product.Save your money or pay $3 more at the local home improvement chain stores for a much stronger and durable product.Unfortunately it isn't worth the postage to return it so I guess it will make for an interesting cat toy.

I bought this for my chicken coop/run. The tiny end fits right through my 1/2 inch hardware cloth fencing in the run. Makes a really fine mist for them, which is exactly what I wanted to help drop the temperature in the run. This is not a spray. I dont know if it would actually coil onto very much, it was surprisingly not very big and I didnt read the dimensions before I bought it, so I was at first concerned that it wouldn't do the job, it was perfect for my use.

I've been using one of these to provide some heat relief for our backyard chickens.Once they got over their fear of it, they positively love it. Their runs are not too high so I lay it on the top of the run with the nozzle pointing down into the run. The mist is directed by the wind. The chickens enjoy the mist and the condensation that makes drops on the run wires.We've been having some extreme heat and it makes me feel better to know that they have some relief.I also picked some larger 3 nozzle misters that I could form to stand outside the run and direct water into the run. The chickens were terrified of them and they directed too much water into the run resulting in a muddy mess.These tiny one nozzle misters are perfect for my use. Not sure they would create enough mist for other uses, but they are ideal for my chickens and don't require as much water as the larger ones.

THIS GADGET WAS MEANT FOR THE HUMMING BIRDS, I ATTACHED IT, AND USED A STRING AROUND THE HOSE TO ATTACH IT TO A STABLE SURFACE, WHEN I ADJUSTED THE NOZZEL TO IT'S STRETCHED OUT MODE, IT WORKED FINE FOR THE FIRST TEN MINUTES THEN IT BEGAN TO LEAK BIG TIME AT THE BASE OF THE CURLEY ROD AND THE HOSE ATTACHMENT. SO IT IS NO LONGER USEABLE BECAUSE OF THE AMOUNT OF WATER LOSS. SORRY TO SAY.

Love this versatile design (received a green one). Have wrapped it around the top of a plastic patio chair and pointed it straight up for the birds to have a little bath when they feel like it.

This Outdoor Mister was used on our camping trip under a canopy on a very hot few days of our vacation. We actually used an electric fan behind it to force cooled air to our sitting position.It worked exceptionally well!
