I just used this on a snorkeling trip to the Great Barrier Reef. I have to say that this is a very good product: sturdy, comfortable, and does exactly what you'd want a good mask to do - keep out the water. I liked the GoPro mount. We have several cameras and this was an excellent way to get a lot of background footage of the dive overall. As others have noted, this isn't really good for close-ups, but is great for recording the big picture. Combining this with another camera on a selfie stick allowed us to dive freely without missing all of the amazing things happening within our field of view. The camera mount is sturdy, and the angle is easy enough to figure out with a bit of test footage. We simply started recording once in the water, and let it run until we got back on the boat... no real concerns about missing footage. My wife and I verified the flashing light from time to time, and all was good. I would definitely recommend this product as long as you know the limitations that a fixed-position camera will put on capturing your overall experience.

While the mask works well, I experienced two very distinct problems with the camera mount: 1. The height of the mount about the frame is grossly inadequate to provide an individual gripping power for loosening, removing, reinserting, tightening of the thumb screws. 2. After my second dive of the day this past Saturday, I decided to review some of the video I was 'capturing'. Sadly, about 3/4 way through my second dive, the camera tilted down and I only captured the lake bed...for the most part. Sadly, you cannot tell something like this happens until you review the video or have a dive buddy who knows something happened to the camera and let's you know. So, I removed the dive case from the mask, analyzed the thumb screw, put the thumb screw back in and attempted to tighten it back down. With about 1/16" to 1/8" left to get the plastic of the thumb screw back into contact with the GoPro mount, the screw stopped. Did not want to force it, so UI removed it and using a flashlight, looked inside the female receptor to see if something had become lodged in it. Nothing found, I looked at the screw grooves and could see some 'strippage', but extremely minimal and only at the very end of the screw. Attempted to use a different brand new thumb screw and encountered the same issue. Attempted to use the original screw in a different mount and it went in completely without any issue and tightened snuggly preventing dive mount slippage. I believe the mounting nut on the mask mount is probably stripped near the deep end of the nut, but believe I did not cause it to become stripped since when I started the dive, the thumb screw tightened properly and nothing or no one hit the camera in or out of the water. Until the mount height is increased for this mask, I recommend not purchasing it. There are other masks with similar, but more elevated mounts out in the ethereal world wide web.

I like the mask, but the low volume design has the mask hitting the bridge of my nose. In the pool for tests it will be ok, I'm about to see how it does for a non stop week of diving.
