This is made out of MDF, which is not safe if your bird chews the wood. And the paint is water soluble and it is causing stains on hands and clothes, it can get into your bird's mouth easily. I don't know what type of paint they have used and how safe it is for birds.

This nest box is really well made and I love the quality and colors. It's big enough for my cockatiels, 2 can easily fit inside. They fell in love with it as soon as I put it inside their cage and have not left it alone since.One con is that it should have had hooks at the back to hook in the cage instead of holes. I couldn't find any other way to install it in the cage other than just keeping it at the bottom.Nonetheless, my birds still love it so I'll give 5 stars.
