Okay Blades, But They Dull Quickly When Cutting Leather / Skin
I use these to perform unlicensed surgeries in my home at a highly discounted rate for people who cannot afford actual healthcare. No- I'm kidding. I actually use these to cut leather and fur that I craft with. Considering I 'craft' for a living, I need a very efficient razor that will allow me to cut smoothly, quickly. I want a razor that's long lasting, durable, and easy to handle. Unfortunately these particular razors just fell short. These razors were obviously made for 'one time use' incisions. They get dull very quickly and some aren't sharp enough to cut through leather for more than 5 to 10 minutes (they wear out -that- fast). Other brands of razors that I use last at least 30 to 40 minutes- so you can imagine how upset I was that these dulled SO quickly. They are not sharp enough to cut through thicker leathers and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone who works with leather or fur. On the other hand they are probably perfectly fine for softer materials like felt and taxidermy thin-skinned-animals (like birds).I do like the size of these. They are small and light-weight. Very precise with a good point that allows you to start the incision exactly where you want to. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with these at first- because I couldn't use them for my leather crafts. But then I discovered that they are perfect for cutting houseplants. I raise many succulents that I sell side-by-side with my crafts. Succulents can be cut and transplanted, but the cuts need to be very clean- which requires a very sharp trimmer. Rather than a trimmer, I now use these razors. They are certainly sharp enough to get through any little houseplant and do leave a very nice healthy cut. These are a bit pricey, but they were the only surgical razors I could find on Amazon. I'm hoping someone puts up a different brand some day- because I can't find razors locally and have to order them from eBay currently. The price on these is mediocre. I feel, for their quality, they should be under $10 (I'd say this pack of 10 is worth about $4.00). Just be for-warned if you're using them to cut any type of skin or leather- although they say 'surgical grade' they are not long-lasting and will not get you more than 2 to 3 clear cuts before they begin to dull.

Perfect for dermabrasion
My niece, a trained esthetician, said she uses this size blade when performing dermabrasion. I like it because its curved and I never have any problems with it. I previously bought some a more triangular in shaped blades and would jab or scrape myself (nothing serious like drawing blood, but annoying). I would jab myself with the bottom corner of the blade because I wasn't pulling my skin tight enough. Since these don't have that corner I don't have that problem anymore. I will order again when I use up all my blades.

Sturdy!
This is a great product to have around if you have chickens! I also purchased the holder! Having a good scalpel can make a difference in a chicken'a life- because it is not usually an option to bring them to the vet. Used for removal of bumble foot.

Additionally the blades were dull requiring brute force when slicing tender flesh
These blades came scratched, unlike the first batch that came with the scalpel, when sterilized in boiling water the show the streak of the scratches on the side of the blade. This would no doubt increase the risk of infection of it were contaminated. Additionally the blades were dull requiring brute force when slicing tender flesh, how am i supposed to get my Hannibal Lecter on if i cant do it like the doctors on TV. Te blades become black when they go in hot water, is this normal ?, and apart from being dull the edge of blade itself has slight chips on them that makes smooth cutting a of specimen harder than it should be

Good blades, but 100 packs from other vendors don't cost much more
Decent blades, but for just 2x the price, you can buy a 100 pack "with free handle" from other vendors.

Great deal for the price
As someone who goes through a LOT of scalpel blades, these were a great purchase. Very sharp, sliced through everything I needed them to ;)
