Not insulated..
Not insulated. Stop advertising insulated when it's not. Dixie PerfecTouch is the true insulated cups. Dixie EcoSmart is still hot to the touch. Bought this for my work place that has a few handicap people. I won't buy this again. It's a good thing this cup is16 oz, because our coffee maker make 12oz max, there's a little bit of space at the top to hold the cup, still not good for handicap people.

Same great Dixie cup quality, just a little more lightweight
I have been using 12oz Dixie cups for my coffee every morning for several years, at the least. I usually purchase the 90 count pack that are made from more of a foam material. I saw this large case of recycled material cups and they looked to be the same size as my usual. These cups are not quite as sturdy as the original Dixie to go cups, but I like that they are way better for the environment than the styrofoam ones. These cups stay nice and dry on the outside with no leaks that I have had. This set of cups was an extremely good value compared to what I have been paying per cup at the grocery store. These cups do not come with lids but I don’t always use a lid and I would have 60% leftover from the packages so this is much better. If you are using to-go cups, this is a great value.

Decent eco friendly cups
Im embarrassed to admit that we go through a crazy amount of disposable cups, plates, and utensils in my house. We have a very large family that comes over almost daily during the summer and if we used regular cups and plates and whatnot I would be doing the dishes in the dishwasher multiple times a day. It’s just not feasible. I have been trying to buy more eco friendly stuff when it’s decent quality and not to expensive though since I do feel bad about it. So when I came across these Dixie EcoSmart 100% recycled cups I figured they would be worth a try!We have had them for about 3 weeks now and are almost done with out 3rd sleeve, I know that’s crazy! We even reuse them throughout the day as much as possible I swear! And so far I’m liking these cups! There not as thick as Dixie’s regular hot beverage cups, but there still thick enough that we haven’t had any issues with leaks or anything like that at all. When drinking hot beverages the outside does get pretty warm, but not so bad that I can’t handle it, and I can hold them the whole time. They do recommend using a sleeve for hot beverages though. And I have to admit I worked as a waitress for years so my hands have a tolerance to hot plates and whatnot.I purchased some of the lids that are recommended for these and they do stay on good, but if you drop it or squeeze it a lot the lids can pop off. Plus for being eco friendly they are not insanely expensive like other brands out there. At 10 cents a cup, they are right on par with regular name brand cups in bulk. Overall I’m pretty happy with them!

Eco cups are cool!
Ok, I have a love/hate relationship with disposable mugs. I love them because they are oh so convenient for guests or for on-the-go (I can't tell you how many times I've brought a real mug/thermos and then found it in my car days later growing its own ecosystem). But I always feel a little guilty about throwing so much plastic and Styrofoam into landfills. But these Dixie EcoSmart cups are awesome! They are made from recycled materials which helps me feel better about using them, and they honestly are plenty strong and hold up to my hot coffee so far. I read another reviewer say they leaked and have been using two cups since then, but that has not been my experience so far. I wouldn't reuse these cups, unlike other paper/Styrofoam cups I don't think these would hold up well to multiple uses, but they are very functional for the intended single-purpose cup. And I also love that they come in packs of 1,000 - it's a value pack that keeps on giving!Note- they do NOT come with plastic lids, if that's something you want. This isn't surprising as it goes along with the whole "eco friendly" motif, and honestly I use the cups more than the lids so we always end up with lids left over from other packs. I did find that it will fit with certain standard sized lids we have from before, so that's good when we need them.

Excellent quality paper cups a suitable replacement for Styrofoam cups
The Dixie EcoSmart 12 oz Hot Cups by Georgia-Pacific work perfectly fine for hot liquids such as coffee. Performance-wise, I still prefer the lowly old-fashioned styrofoam cup over the Dixie EcoSmart cup, but the Dixie cup works at least as well as my Camelbak stainless steel cup. I measure performance by how hot the cup keeps my coffee, how many times I can reuse it before it degrades or leaks, and whether the flavor of the coffee is affected by the cup. Based on that criteria, the Dixie EcoSmart performs admirably.Plus, unlike my beloved styrofoam cups, which allegedly leech toxic substances like Styrene and Benzene, the Dixie EcoSmart cups are made from 100% Recycled Fiber. In other words, the Dixie EcoSmart Hot Cups are harmless paper cups. I like that.As mentioned above, I typically reuse my disposable coffee cups at least three times before tossing them out. The Dixie EcoSmart cup handles that without any problems or leaks. Granted, depending on how hot you brew your coffee, you might feel the heat through the cup. That's why Dixie recommends using an outer sleeve when using these cups with hot liquids. I haven't found that necessary. I hold it near the top until it cools down a bit. In summary, the Dixie EcoSmart cup is a suitable replacement for styrofoam cups and a five-star product overall.

Scalding hot to the touch. Not suitable for boiling hot water.
We pour boiling water into our cup when we make tea, and when we make coffee in our Chemex pour over. We then drink the brew immediately. Contrary to other reviews, the cup pictured is scalding hot to the touch. Since no sleeves were provided, both my wife and I needed to place the hot cup inside another one. If this being purchased for a restaurant, and you have sleeves, they will be fine. We order these for home use and we don’t have any sleeves. For a business break room, the coffee will typically not be boiling hot. That may explain reviews that are contrary to mine. There is also a tendency for similar products, such as cups from the same manufacturer, having consolidated reviews.I took a picture of the cup so you will know which cup I ordered.
