Cynthia's Feathers80g Chandelle Feather Boas over 30 Color & Patterns

I ordered this product to use for my 5 month old daughters Halloween costume (She was a chicken). I originally thought the gold little ribbons mixed in with the feather bows were going to make the costume look weird but i couldn’t have been more wrong! It actually gave the costume the feel that she was growing out of a little yellow baby chicken and into a white chicken! The only thing that was a bit of a pin was that everywhere we went me left a bunch of stray feathers. It looked like a chicken exploded on the floor.

I got the brilliant idea to hand make my baby boys Halloween costume for this year, and decided he would be Hei Hei from the Disney movie Moana. This feather boa was the perfect shade of turquoise for the bottom portion of his costume and was very easy to sew on. The only downside is that the boa is connected to a rope type material and does not have any stretch to it what so ever, so depending on where you are putting it, its important to leave enough slack so that you can stretch it to get it on. Overall its an excellent feather accent and I was very happy with the outcome!

It completely disintegrates on taking it out of the package. It looks like you've sacrificed a crow. You're left with a piece of string that looks like a rat tail with a couple straggly feathers barely hanging on. It got one star because negative or zero stars are not an option.

I was excited to see this boa, which I purchased for part of a Halloween costume. I’d previously purchased a different boa from another Amazon vendor and was thrilled with what I received. This time around, the price was more modest - and so was the boa. On the upside, the color of the feathers is lush and rich - an interesting mix of chocolate brown and an almost mauve hue. The feathers are soft and overall they are sewn evenly on the boa, creating a nice “lift” and flowing feeling. However, there are issues: 1) The feathers are far less dense in this boa than in others I’ve used. This boa is more sparse, especially at its ends, where the feathers just….stop. 2) Speaking of ends, I thought there was a major problem when I first looked at the boa, because at the ends on either side of the boa, there are not only NO feathers covering the end, but also raw canvas or burlap ties at the end stick out. These canvas ties are ugly, knotted pieces that are glaringly obvious without any feathery coverage. 3) As other reviews mention, this boa sheds!! Feather loss is consistent and more than anticipated. Overall, while I kept this boa because it was too late to replace before Halloween, I would not purchase from this vendor in the future.

I used it for a costume and it was alright. The size and material is good, it doesn't feel too cheap. The color is very bright and just how I needed it. However, one negative aspect that was annoying is that is sheds. If I left it sitting, not a problem, but in constant motion it would shed and drop little purple feathers. So would I recommend, yeah, but be aware.

I bought this boa because the dress I am wearing in the picture came with a boa that was very cheaply made and shedding real bad. I'm very satisfied with this new boa because it was Fuller in feathers and beautiful color. Yes it did shed. But not as bad as the cheaper one I had. And it also helped to shake it out really good to begin with and that made it shed less. As the night went on when I first wore this, the shedding was very minimal. I think any feather boa is going to have some amount of shedding, and I would still recommend this boa.

This is cheap for a boa - which I'm assuming is why it appears to have been made with the shredded through a paper shredder pieces of feathers left over from more high end boas. Very few (if any) whole feathers made it onto this piece, so only tiny pieces are attached to the string, which is why it sheds horribly. Color was more light blue than the sea glass color pictured, but computer monitors can be blamed for that. In the future, I will buy the full feather kind I'm used to buying because this one, although cheaper, got quickly irritating & was tossed aside for the evening so it really wasn't worth the money I spent on it.

All boas will have some feathers that fall so I always shake mine before I use them. These boas was very thick and not much feathers fell when I shook them. They worked very well for the project that I created. Bout to purchase again. Thanks
