I was worried about the quality because it was so reasonably priced, no worries now! It’s a trouper, didn’t heat up quickly, hardly ever and I really pushed it. Seriously so glad I didn’t invest in a larger more expensive one. This easily fits in my cupboard when not in use.You’ll love it!

We are in our second Amazon paper shredder. The first one lasted for many years. We shred all junk mail and receipts, etc so it gets used daily. Good quality at a fair price. And it’s a cross cut shredder.

I've had this over a year and used it a lot. Still runs great!

Let me begin by saying - this shredder is all I expected, BUT all I needed, too. That does not mean it's all it could be at this price. And it might not always be what you need out of a shredder.Reviewers are right when they say this will NOT fit a business sized envelope, without putting it in long ways. Standard size papers are a snap, but not envelopes. Annoying, but not critical for me just going through old boxes of paper that should have been thrown out five years ago! *sigh* All this mail needs to be opened, therefore shredding the envelopes longways works.To go with the above statement - DO NOT expect this to do nearly the number of pages at one time as it says! No way, no how. Two are good on a "we-need-to-shred-shred-shred" basis, three works OK too, but it will heat it up more quickly. (It never "over-heated" for me, so I don't know anything about the auto shut off feature.) My old one, that this replaced, used to snatch just one piece of paper out of my hand happily and enthusiastically, this one prefers at least two, to say "Hey, here I am, shred me!" It starts running, but it won't grab up the paper until you say, "Hey, c'mon now, shred!" (I'm figuring it's the "safety" features, that maybe there's more space between the top of the shredder and the blades that actually shred. Mine was pretty shallow on the old one.) Still, it WILL shred one piece at a time, but given the enthusiasm of my last one, I've yet to entirely get used to this one's reluctance. However, 8 pages?? Not on a New York bet!!! HA! No way. Four max, and if they go through the slot slightly crooked, it will threaten to (and has) jam up trying to get through those "now-multiple layers" down through. Three max and you're good.It's IS as quiet as any I've ever heard, office or personal. Her neighbor upstairs would kiss the maker of this for that, because we've been doing this long into the night! We've also been doing this over a 13-gallon trash can, because it gets impossibly full way too quickly in the small bucket that came with it. When I take this home for every day use, the attached trash can will do just fine, but for what we're doing, yeah, no. And my dearest wish as to what I'd change? MAKE THE SIDES STRAIGHT! In other words, that part that sits on top of the trash can and do extend and that's handy, but they are curved, even though the trash can that came with it has straight sides, as well. Her 13-gallon trash can has straight sides, as well. It keeps falling INTO the trash can! But don't let me confuse you - for all it's "curved" vs. the obviously "straight" sides of the can that comes with it, it fits to a "T" on the can it comes with. Go figure! LOLIt is a very stylish looking unit that I will be quite happy to have in my home office and it will do, for me, exactly what I want it to and what I need it for. A win/win for me. Also the price is right on target for what I needed. My years-old-one died at the beginning of this paperwork mountain and I desperately needed another one on the spot. This job is boxes and boxes of mostly Medicare papers, so throwing them out wholesale was NOT an option. It also came the next day! Yay for Prime!Win/win for me, you judge your own needs by what I've said.

Does its job.If you’re someone who gets a bunch of mail or has kids bringing home a bunch of random papers. You need this.I also put stacks of paper next to it and let the kids do it and they think it’s a game and have so much fun.Perfect shred size for diy animal bedding or to add to your compost. Definitely recommend.

I uses at lease once a week.

Works good and good on shredding evidence, credit cards, cds. Lol

Nothing special but did what it was purchased for and good buy for the money
