POWERTEC 70108-P6 4 Inch Blast Gate for Dust Collector, Dust Collection Fittings - 6PK

Obvious usage is to select the tool getting the suction but just as important is it provide a 4" connection to my DIY duct hoods for radial arm saw, router tale, sander, jointer, thickness planer, lathe and drill press. Have yet to complete some of the duct hoods but the 1300 CFM WEN dust collector has plenty of suction for my worst case chip makers.

Leaked around the gate when shut, but after placing a strip of Gorilla tape around the edge of the gate….tight seal!

I like it they were size properly fit and worked well for my dust collection system.

Easy to use and work great for your shop

I liked the sturdiness and ease of using these blast gates. I needed to extend my dust collection system and these did the job. Great value.

No description of product being used, even has tape left on them and clogged dust in corners.

The enclosed corners clog with dust over time, just trim the corner to allow some air flow when open to solve this problem.

The media could not be loaded.  Do not buy this! First they do not seal all the way. Felt like they did, but when I turned on the dust collector there was still air chewing pulled from the closed hoses and worse, they squeal in their high pitch horrible noise! So they are also very hard to open. I have other powertec blast gates but the are the more expensive ones that screw to the wall. I guess you get what you pay for. I will be disassembling my dust collection system to return these and buy better ones

For the price these are well worth the investment. Was contemplating building my own, but for the price, these were a better option when considering time and materials. Let’s hope they hold up in the long term
