I just wanted to say to anyone reading these replies, ignore anyone who says you can use any wick for any size candle "as long as you cut them shorter to size." That is patently false. The width and thickness of a wick determines the melt pool diameter. These are 1/2" wide wicks, so way too big for say, a 2" diameter container. A 2.9" container actually sounds about right for these.
