Mid Century Modern Tufted Button Living Room Accent Chair (Yellow)

This is a mustard-yellow, firm yet springy, large and comfortable chair that seems to promote good posture. It may be a bit deep for smaller people, but placing a pillow behind your back will allow you to sit more upright.The legs to the chair are fairly close in finish color / grain, but are not perfectly identical. As such, I would consider selecting the two that match the best and using those in front.Assembly is relatively simple - you simply need to attach the legs, which are stored inside a zipper compartment in the bottom of the chair. This adds a somewhat unusual feature as you could theoretically store a small object within the chair.The leg assembly consists of one bolt and one biscuit per leg. The bolt is passed through a recessed hole in the leg and screws into a threaded receptacle built into the chair. The black cloth on the chair obscures the underlying material that this receptacle is embedded in, but I suspect it to be some type of fiberboard. That being said, this material seems very sturdy, which is important since these bolts must be tensioned very tightly.The Small Cause for Concern:The biscuit portion of the joint is permanently affixed to the leg, and goes into a hole right next to the bolt receptacle. This slot is significantly oversized, and the biscuit seems to be floating. That being said, this portion of the joint acts merely as a fulcrum for the cantilever design and is not torqued or pulled very much in regular use. Additionally, this oversized hole likely adds a tolerance so you can compensate for small errors in hole placement, though the wiggle room seems a slightly excessive.For my peace of mind, I decided to augment the biscuit by using cuts of some small cardboard tubes commonly found in rolls of dog-waste bags designed for dispensers. By sliding these small tubes onto the ends of the biscuits, I was able to increase the diameter of the biscuit, thereby creating a more sturdy joint once assembled.Overall, this chair added color and comfort to my living room, and will pair nicely with my other purchase - an orange loveseat in similar styling - arriving tomorrow.Definitely worth the money if your chair is as nice as mine.

This is a nice chair and a good value. The color is as shown. It is brighter than I expected as I thought it would be toned down "in person". It is not. The fabric is firmly woven and the chair itself is firm to sit on. Although it is not a "cozy" chair it serves its purpose. I don't give it five stars because I don't like the legs which detract from the rest of the chair. This flaw to me is not enough to send the chair back and overall I am satisfied with it because one couldn't find anything more suitable in this price range.

This chair is very low quality, and it smells like it was sitting in a basement for a long time. I have it for a several month now, and the smell is still there.

Company was great regarding my request for a return due to the leg breaking at assembly. Honestly I loved the chair when I opened the box. It is an oversized chair FYI. Buyers beware of the dowels that are needed to screw in the legs. They break off VERY EASILY! Amazon Prime did make EVERYTHING RIGHT though with the refund. It pays to be a Prime Member.

Was so excited to get this chair after reading so many positive reviews. Unfortunately, the color pictured on site is not color I received. It is more orange than yellow. My partner and I both groaned when we opened the box and saw color. Never even removed it from box and have contacted seller about returning. Took a photo next to a yellow pillow to show the color for anyone else expecting a true yellow.Update-the cost and hassle to return was too much so we decided to unbox and keep the chair. Really happy with it now, despite the initial color shock. In fact, decided yesterday to order another. Unfortunately, price has jumped considerably (over $120) since I ordered it at the beginning of the year which is why it gets only 3 stars now, upgraded from my original 2 star review. At $160, it was a good value and would have gotten 4 stars. At new, inflated price, it is not worth the money.

Wow this is an amazing chair! It arrived in one day and was so easy to put together. It took me maybe 10 minutes. It’s the perfect highs for the room I have it in. It’s a little firm but it’s also brand new. I like the firmness it makes me feel supported. I am 5’7” and I can ball up in it comfortably. It’s a perfect chair to read in. The color is spot on. Simply Wonderful! I highly recommend it. (Also my dog likes it).

I bought this chair as an accent piece for my living room. Color is bright and as shown in picture. It’s a good sized comfy chair. Comes assembled - just need to attach the legs. Would appreciate more color options added.

After having this for a month I can safely say I’m satisfied with it. Is it the most comfortable chair I ever sat on? Of course not. But it’s very easy to put together, sturdy and does its job. The color is very bright as I wanted it to be. A great accent for my living room
