I got the Tung Tongue Cleaning Kit Tung Brush and Gel Bad Breath Odor Eliminator specifically to tackle bad breath and tongue buildup especially after enjoying wine which often leaves my tongue stained purple or discolored and feeling coated. This kit works really well and stands out as one of the best tongue cleaning solutions I have tried. The Tung Brush has a unique soft yet firm design with those special ridges that gently but thoroughly scrape away the bacteria film coating and debris from the tongue surface. Paired with the Tung Gel it creates a fresh minty clean that actually eliminates bad breath odor at the source instead of just masking it. The gel has a pleasant taste not overpowering or medicinal just refreshing and it helps the brush glide smoothly without any gagging or discomfort. What impresses me most is how effectively it handles wine related staining. After a glass or two of red wine my tongue would look tinted and feel fuzzy but a quick session with this kit removes the color buildup almost completely leaving my tongue pink and clean again. It cleans really well in just 10 to 20 seconds and the results last noticeable fresh breath for hours. No more fuzzy mouth feel or lingering aftertaste from drinks or food.

This helped tremendously. As someones who has had a white toungue since I could remember and no medical professional ever addressed it. I thought it was normal! I brought this product and it helped alot! My toungue is cleaner and tastes cleaner, something a toungue scraper didnt do as good. I feel like i dont have to chew gum all yhe time or be self conscience. Like others say just clean your toungue gently so it doesn't bleed. But this is a great product. The only con is I wish it told you if you have to wait to use mouthwash or eat after using it.

Tung Brush: This brush is better than the, "Orabrush" tongue scrapers I've been using for years. It can knock loose the plaque on your tongue very thoroughly, and it will increase how long your breath stays fresh. If you really want you can use it to cleanse your palate of stubborn tastes. However, there are some things to keep in mind: This is a tongue brush and not a scraper, so the loose plaque and toothpaste will stay on your tongue and is hard to get out of your mouth (at least for me). So I suggest that you keep some water or mouthwash to rinse with after you use the Tung brush, after swishing it around all the plaque and toothpaste residue will easily come out. I do wish that the Tung brush had a scraper shelf like the Orabrush on its back so that you could also scrape the plaque and toothpaste residue before you rinsed, but it is what it is. The Tung brush also requires a departure from traditional tongue scraping techniques as it is far more abrasive, I suggest that you "loosen" the bristles with your thumb before use so that they are less aggressive on your tongue. Also keep in mind that because it is more abrasive it WILL cause some MINOR tongue pain (that should only last for an hour or so at most if you have good oral hygiene) for a day or two as the tissues on your tongue adjust, likewise you will learn to adjust the pressure and technique as you go. I also suggest that you use your toothbrush to clean the bristles of the Tung brush since the Tung gel and toothpaste can accumulate at the base of the Tung brush's bristles. This residue will stick the bristles together and make the Tung brush more aggressive, so if it is hurting your tongue you might want to try cleaning it with your toothbrush. Lastly the Tung brush's profile makes it a little awkward to store, the "swayback" handle does not store well in the horizontal position and it will shift its position if disturbed. It also makes it hard to store from a hanging toothbrush clip because of how much it protrudes, which actually prevents my cabinet mirror from closing flush. The Tung brush was obviously intended to be stored in a toothbrush holder or cup, but this is an extremely minor quibble. Tung Gel: This gel is nothing special, I wouldn't suggest that you purchase it. You can just use your toothpaste, just remember that; if your toothpaste has abrasives like baking soda it will be rougher on your tongue, and that strong toothpaste flavors will be even stronger if you use them on the Tung brush. I'd honestly suggest a charcoal toothpaste since the added contrast and more neutral flavor are both helpful, ensuring your brushing gets every part of your tongue without creating an overwhelming minty aftertaste when combined with the toothpaste/mouthwash remnants.

Works great. Exactly as advertised. Removes gunk a lot better than a toothbrush or metal tongue scraper. My breath does not stink when I use it.

Works very well, although it works better to squeeze the gel on my finger and rub on my tongue because the gel when put on the brush penetrates between the brush bristles and doesn't disperse easily on to tongue ,so the finger trick works better all in all great product i will continue buying thanks

I just received this and was excited to use it. My tongue is so scraped up and bleeding. The photo is after I rinsed with peroxide. Scared to use it again.

For many years I have brushed my tongue and used various scrapers to clean it. This is absolutely the best and cleanest my tongue has ever looked and felt. The bristles are short and because of that have a firm feel to them, but they are in no way too harsh. LOVE this!! If you have a coating on your tongue that this product won't help, I would buy a tooth bleaching kit ($20ish) here on Amazon with an LED lighted mouthpiece with blue and red lights. The LED lights will kill the bacteria in your mouth and you will not have morning breath for at least 3 months. SWEAR. You don't need to use the bleaching gel, only the led mouthpiece for 2-3 sessions. This is assuming you brush and floss twice a day thoroughly. I wish I had seen this tung system sooner, it is well worth the price! If it matters, I used the idoluster mouthpiece, but there are other brands as well. This gel has a nice and mild flavor and I think it's the zinc in it that helps with breath problems. I first tried this with putting the gel on the brush and then using it, but it seemed that most of the gel just got stuck in the brush that way. I then just put a dab of the paste directly on the flat side of this brush, placed that on my tongue and then flattened and spread it with the roof of my mouth. It spread better on my tongue that way for me. After using this brush and paste, you will notice a different level of clean. This paste is now on subscribe and save for me

This thing doesn't fool around with just water and the paste seems helpful too...it WILL clean your tongue. Easily worth the $

Disposed of metal ones as it drew blood when I pressed too hard. Feel the Tung cleaner is more comfortable and the accompanying gel makes the cleaning process complete. With this comes less gagging, at least for me.
