They do work. I had no ear pain or sinus pain. I was desperate because I needed to fly and My head was so stuffy.

This works so wonderfully. I can hear well even while it’s protecting my ears from excruciating pain as a chronic sufferer. They stay in until I’m completely outside of the cabin. It is reusable for two flights only, and it’s not recommended to use after two uses. Each set has its own carry case. Follow the instructions on the box and you’ll be at bliss. They’re comfy too, but if your ears/ear canals are small like mine, I recommend the children’s pack.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve had extremely sensitive ears when flying. The first time I ever flew over 10 years ago, I experienced the worst ear pain of my life. Ever since then, every flight came with anxiety because I knew the pain during take off & landing was almost inevitable. Over the years I tried everything.. chewing gum, yawning, pressure techniques, you name it. On one flight I even sat next to a professional diver who taught me several different ways to equalize the pressure, but unfortunately none of them ever worked for me. Then last May I found these. I flew from Florida to California (& back) wearing them & experienced zero ear pain. I didn’t need gum, didn’t have to constantly try pressure techniques.. nothing. They worked so well it honestly felt like a miracle for someone with ears as sensitive as mine. I’m only just now writing this review because I’m about to fly to Italy & immediately came back to purchase another pair. I couldn’t do that without leaving a review to say how amazing these are. If you struggle with ear pain when flying, these truly made all the difference for me.

When I first read the reviews for these, I was extremely excited about them. For me, when the playing is taking off my ears are perfectly fine so I don't need them for that. I only have a terrible experience when the plane descends. My ears will go through excruciating pain once the flight hits the 45 minute mark before landing. My ears would pop really bad to the point where tears are coming out of my eyes. After I get off the plane, I would try to just hold my breath, pinch my nose and blow into my nose. That never worked for me and it made the pain a hundred times worse. The first time I did it, it made my ears really bad and I never did it again. My ears would still be bad for a whole week, which makes the trip less enjoyable. Ever since I tried EarPlanes, they've helped a lot. The thing is, my ears still do pop but it's not as bad as before. I put these on 1 hour and 15 minutes before landing just because I get nervous if they don't work. You can definitely put these on 45 minutes before, or whatever other reviews suggest. I noticed that when the plane hits the 45 minute mark, my ears are still perfectly fine. The ear popping begins at the 20 minute mark. This time, the pain was only a 3 on a scale of 1-10 (but please keep in mind that everyone has a different pain tolerance). I was really surprised how it reduced the pain for me. I take it off right when the plane hits the ground even though the box says to take it off after you leave the plane. My ears still aren't clear though. However, when I go to sleep the night I arrive and wake up the next morning, my ears are perfectly clear. So to summarize my overall review, I will continue to use them because they definitely do reduce the pain for me and my ears get better the next day vs. not using them and having to go through a week of bad pain. I honestly can't travel without these. How I Put It Inside- for my personally, I had no trouble putting them inside my ear. For example, I would use my left hand to hold up my left ear, then I would use my right hand to insert the item. After awhile, I just started to screw it inside or just insert it in. Whatever method I used, the results would still be the same. How Well I Can Hear- I can still hear the announcements, but I can't hear the passenger next to me. However, it doesn't matter to me since I put it inside my ear around the time the flight attendants are done passing out condiments and I don't usually make conversation with other passengers. If anything, I would just nod or give them some sort of gesture that says "yes please" or "no thank you" in terms of them asking if I need water or a snack.

These earplugs are very effective in reducing the pressure in my ears when I am on an airplane.

The product came in good condition. My ears always hurt upon landing. It feels like a knife in my ear. These help to reduce the pain. The package says there is an app that notifies you when to use them. I haven't tried that, but I recommend using them during take off and landing, even if you only have pain on landing because it helps reduce the pain. I've learned to put them on 30 minutes to an hour for take off. After that I will take them off. And then an hour before landing (I take extra precaution because this is when I feel the knife-pain), I put them back in my ears. For added pain reduction, I also take a decongestant an hour before landing as well. When I do this, I barely feel any pain until I remove the earplanes and really only on one side where my ear drum had previously burst because of flights. ALSO, I do not remove the ear them from my ears until it's clear the cabin doors are open. However, even with all of this, I tend to be deaf, especially on more my sensitive ear for some time. Between use, I clean them with a wet wipe and I dispose of them once I use them twice. Also, I can still hear what is going on around. It's just softer and muffled.

My ears hurt really badly on descent and take a while to pop. I wore them for the last hour of the flight like instructed and it did help take away the pain at least. But my ears took quite a while to pop afterwards. So they didn't work as well as I hoped

I decided to purchased because of prior ear pain that lasted for days on last few flights. Worked like a charm. It was a comfortable fit and easy to remove.

Amo mis Earplanes. Tengo varios años usando. Cuando no usaba, me quedaba sorda un para de días después del vuelo. Ahora ya no sufro de eso

Los recomiendo ampliamente, los usé en un viaje de varias horas y no sentí ningún dolor; si funcionan. Normalmente odiaba viajar en avión aún en viajes cortos ya que me retorcía de dolor y gracias a que los usé pude disfrutar del vuelo.

Warplanes worked very well, I was worried about having painful ears, as I recently had a cold and was worried about flying, but it all worked out, they helped immensely, I had no ear pain whatsoever!
