This mandoline is very nice. It is sturdy and easy to use. The unit is wide which I like because I want it to slice eggplant for eggplant rolatini. The instructions on it are not great. It gives no instruction on how to switch the button to get the different cutting blades. It took us a while to figure out how to use it. You have to push in the outer ring on the knob to be able to turn to the different blades. I have not used it yet because I made rollatini last week. I am going to try slicing a cucumber. It's best test for me is slicing the eggplant because being spongy they are hard to cut into thin slices. If I use it and have more commentary I will update this review. If there is not an update because it works great assume it worked fantastic.

Absolutely fabulous gadget! Can't believe I wanted so long to get a mandoline. This one is just perfect, super easy to use and the blade is razor sharp. The knob lets you choose your thickness and I swear I sliced a pound of potatoes in paper thin, perfect slices in seconds! So easy and so easy to clean. Everyone who loves to cook should have one.

Works great!! Love the fact that it comes with a protective blade cover and gloves to prevent slicing fingers. Very sharp blade. Quality product. I would definitely recommend.

So I have never had one of these danger slicers before, and was super hesitate given my more than acceptable ability to hurt myself. Finally annoyed at my inability to cut a thin sliced tomato without injury, this one caught my eye while Amazon surfing. It comes with an anti-cut glove for starters, so safety challenged folks like me can sigh with relief. It also can cut slices, French fry cuts, and those tiny julienne cuts too. Cleans up like a dream! I am sold after making a batch of radish chips in the deep fryer. If you are debating, don't. It's a high-quality tool for what you would pay for a plastic-y version at another retailer!

Use with caution!!! I believe this thing came with some gloves which my wife says she lost. Anyway, the wife got two stitches in her finger last night at the local hospital after cutting her finger (deeply) while slicing some apples. The ER doc said he sees people on a regular basis who have cut themselves using one of these and it usually involves someone losing the tip of their finger - said my wife was lucky. I made a post about it on social media and three people we know had cut themselves badly with one of these things. One of our best friends, indeed, had lost the tip of one finger just as the ER doc said. Works great but do not slip and, for pete's sake, wear the gloves.

The mandoline is easy to setup and use and works well. I thought the unit was sturdy and will last a long time. The many different uses will be fun to try. I also like the blade guard so after you use the unit you can put that back on and stop any potential accidents. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is the description claims it comes with a PAIR of cut-resistent gloves. Mine only came with a single glove. Not a big deal, but if you don't deliver 100% on the product you list, you don't deserve a 100% positive rating.
