Can this product be used with a steam mop?

We would not recommend using this product with a steam mop.

Does it have a polish chemical in it, for example, waxy or other coating that would build up over time? Or is this just 100% pure cleaning chemical.

No, this product is not safe for use on unfinished, waxed or oiled wood floors.

How do you recommend it be applied

Remove debris from floor by sweeping or vacuuming. Unscrew cap and remove seal. Test on an inconspicuous area before use. Apply a generous amount of Weiman Hardwood Cleaner directly onto floor. Spread evenly with a clean, damp mop. Allow 10-15 minutes for floor to dry.

I've been using Weiman floor products for years, and they have always worked great. I use the cleaner the most, so it's great that it's available in the large jug since that keeps the cost per ounce very reasonable. It's easy to use, has no objectionably scent, and, most important, cleans very well without leaving any haze behind as other cleaners often do. Just a nice, clean, shiny floor when I'm done. 5 stars!
