I certainly didn't use them as intended, but they worked.
Exactly what I said. A lot easier to get a consistent connection against the solid metal of these spades than barely tapping the metal inside the plug with lucky positioning of the bare wires in the back.Even if I did have to hot glue them in, these tweeters sound much better than the factory tweeters and this adapter made all the difference getting them to work consistently.
