We suggest to put the pressure on the back of the clamps versus the front better. This charger won't charge through an otter box, for optimal performance, take off your protective cover and place your device in the proper location on the wireless charger. Otherwise, QC 2.0/3.0 adaptive fast charger and high quality cables are required for the fast charge wireless charging feature.

Good value but poor compatibility for vent clip. No included method to mount to textured dashboard.
This charger effectively consists of 3 parts, so I'll review them seperately. The base phone holder + charger: 5/5 stars: I have no complaints about this part for the price. It charges my S8 fine, even through the case (tip: you may need to adjust the bottom piece down to get it to line up properly). I haven't tested if it can keep up while GPS is active, but I suspect it is comparable to other car chargers.Suction Mount: 4/5 stars: The base has a suction cup on it, which arrives with some sort of adhesive pre-applied. The adhesive is a good idea, but is not likely to hold up to moving between vehicles and can't be readily replaced. This mount design is clearly meant for placement on a horizontal surface (ie: dashboard) and NOT a window like traditional mounts. The main issue with this design is that you can't use a suction cup mount directly on most (textured) dashboards and therefore you will be forced to buy an additional accessory to use this: ie: A small glue-on plate to attach the suction cup to, or a cup-holder platform (my plan).Vent mount: 1/5 stars: This mount is clearly intended to clip onto a vent more securely than clip-mounts I've had in the past. The caveat, however, is that this clip is only compatible with a small subset of vents. In addition to the described limitation of requiring a vent with horizontal slits, they must be wide enough to fit the clip part. It must also be of the right depth for the clip to attach and the outer legs to sit flush, but not too deep such that the clip won't extend. One set of vents on my car is too narrow for this to attach to, while the other one is apparently too shallow - it will not sit in a stable position, and the weight of it forces the vent closed. This is the part I am most disappointed in -- the vent mount was my preferred option, and despite my vent looking like those in the picture, I'm unable to attach it securely.

I’ve updated this review after 2 week of use.....
I originally wrote a great review of this after 2 days of use, very prematurely....My iPhone X started flying out of the holder every time I hit the brakes. Bad! The grip is just not tight enough. I played around with it a little, and tried to squeeze it tighter, but to no avail. Also, the problem got worse. The release button to expand the grips kind of stopped working and hardly did anything. This was in less than a week of use. The only way to keep the phone in place is to tilt the mount heavily upwards so gravity keeps the phone in place. Are there positives? Yes. It charges well when the phone Is actually held in place. Fast too. I had no problems keeping a maximum charge on a long road trip using Google Maps (even though I needed a rubber band to hold phone in place....). Also the vent mount is sturdy (I didn’t try the dash mount, but I doubt it would have worked on my car anyway (too curvy of a dash). If these guys fix the grip mechanism of the mount, it would be a great charger. Otherwise, don’t risk your $1000 phone flying across the car.....

Works with Droid Turbo 2 and Otterbox Commuter
In general, this charger works very well. I use it with a Droid Turbo 2 that has an Otterbox Commuter case on it (the thin one, not the super thick rubbery one). It does have to be positioned just right in order to work, and it does NOT do the "fast charge" because apparently the only way to fast charge a Droid Turbo 2 is to use the Motorola plug in charger. These wireless chargers were a life saver for me since my charger port is basically useless on the phone after less than 9 months of use. The vent mount with this charger works really well in my Nissan Titan truck, tho I had to use some velcro to stop the vent from pivoting freely and making the phone get jostled a lot. The clamp mechanism on this charger could be better - the padding is too thin and thus it's a little frustrating to get it set at the right spot to hold the phone while not being hard to insert and remove. The real reason for the 4 star, tho, is that I think there may be some interference from the charger that affects the chip key on the ignition. I've had multiple situations where my truck would not start after I purchased and installed this charger. This is not a definite conclusion, but I've not had the problem since I've started unplugging the charger until after the truck is started. Overall, does what is advertised and I've been pleased in general.

Great Charging Station for My 2010 Honda Accord!
This product worked out wonderfully for me, which is a small miracle considering I didn’t try other charging mounts before taking the plunge with this one. I opted to use the air conditioning mounting option rather than the sticky mount - it was more aesthetically pleasing and didn’t block the clock display. You can see in the second picture that it’s quite secure, though a bit shaky still so you have to be careful when turning the orientation. And yes, you CAN use horizontal orientation with this mount! You have to tilt it slightly to the left so the phone doesn’t fall out, but it does work. The phone is a bit loose, so you have to be careful, but it is definitely doable. The best part is the cable clips that are provided help you keep the car fairly clutter free. So you can have your wireless charging station and still keep the car clean! For the guy who can’t afford the new cars with the built in qi wireless charging stations, this product is an economical and pretty cool fix. My only gripe is that the fast charging option only works with certain phones, but even for phones without fast charging not worrying about the battery while driving is a big relief. Highly recommend!
