Viori Native Essence Shampoo Bar Made with Rice Water - Handcrafted All Natural Shampoo Bars - Sulfate Free

This wonderful shampoo bar made with rice water gets my hair clean and soft, with NO residue, and I no longer add to all that waste from plastic bottles for liquid shampoo. I have used it for two weeks now and am just as pleased as the first day I used it. It has a very mild and pleasant scent. The attached pictures are after one use and even now it still has the beautiful design visible. They donate 5% of their profits to the Red Yao Tribe of Longshen. I will continue buying it, for me and as a gift-- in addition to being a great shampoo the container it comes in is very elegant and unusual.

I love this product for my color-treated, dry, and thinning hair for several reasons:- it cleans well and gives my hair body- it leaves my hair shiny- I lose less hair with this shampoo (even my hair dresser noticed)- it lasts a long time- it smell great- it takes up little space in the shower- it's easy to travel with (keep the pretty paper box it comes in)The only downside is that it doesn't lather very well on dirty hair, so you need wash twice. The second wash gives tons of lather.I also like to first pre wash with another bar shampoo (that I like less) then the Viori lathers up great.

Magnificent! I love how wonderful it smells, it lathers up so easily and rinses cleanly. My hair feels so soft and has a healthy shine now. My hair also combs out so easily now after each shampoo. I have struggled with hair loss, dry hair, and itchy scalp for longer than I can remember. I’ve tried many other “organic or natural” shampoos and nothing worked until now. I’m no longer seeing large amounts of hair in the shower drain. I’m ordering extra bars for myself and to give to my loved ones. It’s positively going in my travel bag too! It’s the perfect size, easy to use at home and when traveling. This shampoo is a real game changer for my hair and I absolutely love it!!

I tried this to see if bar shampoo would be as good as my usual liquid shampoo. The bar did last a long time, so I didn't feel like I wasted any. My only reason for not giving five stars was because it doesn't lather up as well as my regular shampoo. It bubbles up, but doesn't get to the thick lather of my normal shampoo. My hair felt soft, and there was no strong fragrance, so that was nice.

This is just what I need, a basic shampoo free of questionable ingredients. I love that it's fragrance free, and that is not missed at all. It does the job of cleaning my hair without drying it and it rinses out well. Even the packaging is 5-star, so beautiful and obviously designed with sustainability as a priority. No excess paper or plastic, a lovely origami-like package. I think this soap will last a long time too, keeping many plastic shampoo bottles out of the waste stream.

I’ve included a picture of basically the before and after size after a month of using it. Keep in mind I am probably three days now over the month but as you can see the conditioner hasn’t changed size but the shampoo is gone minus some residue on my mesh bag for maybe two more uses tops.So hopefully this won’t be too long, but I’ve been using one brand of shampoo for years and it was the most amazing shampoo and conditioner I’ve ever used and it never made my hair dry, and never felt like it left a coating. I could never use any other type of shampoo and conditioner because it always felt like it was leaving a coating on my hair or my hair felt ridiculously dry and would break easily. I’ve always had a problem with my hair growing so I started using essential oils instead of Hair growth shampoos, trying everything I can to not get on some thing that would make your hair fall out after forgetting to use it for a day or two. My hair has always been thin and using essential oils has made a huge difference, but it was trying to find a replacement shampoo and conditioner because the company stop making that exact name. It was Unilever “Clear” shampoo and conditioner. I even started buying the travel size just to get by and even then I was noticing that every one that I got had been expired for a long period of time and honestly that’s all I could do was use it. No other brand and I had tried several left my hair feeling clean And well conditioned. Without feeling greasy or oily or dry.With that being said, I don’t know why I skipped out on trying this before. I bought a couple other brands to try out but it’s been the best decision ever. Keep in mind there are some pros and cons to this bar. I’ve used actual rice water in my hair before and noticed a huge difference in how it felt so I know I wanted to use something with rice water.Pros: leaves your scalp and hair, feeling clean and the conditioner makes it feel moisturized enough that it’s not overpowering or make you feel greasy. It also did not make my hair feel dry.Cons: I guess this one’s a really big one for me, but the shampoo bar definitely needs to be twice the size because I’ve already gone through the shampoo and still have the same size conditioner. As much as that is a pro for the conditioner, that is a con for the shampoo because I don’t want to spend anywhere from $10-$20 depending on the current sale price for shampoo only for one month. another con is that it says using the shampoo every 2 to 3 days, I don’t know many people who can shampoo and condition their hair every 2 to 3 days, but me with my thin hair. I have to shampoo my hair every day. Otherwise, this probably would’ve lasted someone maybe two months if they shampooed their hair every other day. Like I said, I can’t do that so I went through my shampoo bar twice as fast. I guess the other con is that depending on the price that set at the time that you get it it can be anywhere from $16 to almost $20. For some thing I use once a month I feel like anything near $20 is a bit excessive. I would even be more so willing to pay $14 for something that lasted me a month but anything over that seems a bit expensive and excessive. I guess one more con is that I feel like there needs to be a mesh bag included. Lucky for me. I make my own soap so I used a mesh bag and doing so probably saved a lot of shampoo and conditioning days inside that mesh bag for me to use. Otherwise it probably would’ve been lost on the corner of the tub or in the soap dish depending on where you keep yours. I have a basket on the one side where I keep everything on one of the seats that I have in my standing shower.Overall, I’m very excited to be using this brand and happy that I can use a brand that doesn’t have sodium lauryl sulfate in it. I’m also happy that the floral brand that I bought smells very good. I know it seems like there’s a lot of cons, but it is really how I feel about it and in the end because I can’t find another brand like this. I have no problem overlooking the cons in order to keep my hair healthy.Update: so I’ve recently been having a little bit of issues with what appears to be residue. I still have my old shampoo so as soon as I washed my hair with that my hair felt like it was back to normal. I feel like I might not continue using the shampoo and conditioner, because in the end, I think it’s still leaving deposits in my hair, and I honestly don’t know what to do. I don’t feel like it is nearly as bad as some of the other shampoos but I’m gonna have to try using Other’s now.

I bought the citrus yao shampoo and conditioner bar back in April and loved it. My hair was stronger and not breaking off as with commercial brands and I had lots of hair regrowth. It smelled refreshing and lasted for months as I didn’t have to wash my hair daily. It really did help with oil control.

I tried the citrus yao one because my hair is on the finer/oily side and I was worried my hair was starting to thin. It's too soon to tell if it's improving my growth, I will, however, say it's doing amazing things for my hair regardless. My hair doesn't get oily by the end of the work day, usually it feels gross and I have to shower right after work. My hair feels way cleaner and softer, the scent of the bar isn't over powering (not a big citrus fan here). I noticed my previous natural shampoo was causing hard painful bumps on my scalp, but after only two days of using the new bar they are all gone.

I believe this was the best shampoo I ever tried. The smell isn’t very strong, it’s nice and delicate. My hair would last longer clean, I usually wash my hair at least 3 times a week, with this shampoo I went down to 2. Also, I don’t know if it’s a coincidence but my hair isn’t splitting as much as before. It grew so much and stayed healthy. Highly recommended! I’m just waiting to become available again and buying it because it is really a fantastic product!only recommendation is to get yourself something to make it dry in the air because the usual boxes won’t allow it and you’ll end up wasting product.

Love this shampoo bar. It makes my hair feel so smooth, shiny and healthy. I find my hair doesn’t tangle as much and my split ends are minimal now. I have very sensitive skin and I have no irritation with this shampoo. No more itchy skin. I bought this product for travelling. It’s lightweight easy to use and saves on liquids going through security when travelling. I have waist length hair and 1 bar lasts 4 months. It doesn’t latter like liquid shampoos but gets your hair super clean. There is a bit of a trick using it. You need to wet your hair and wet the shampoo bar then stroke into your hair and massage it in. Once you get the hang of it you won’t want to use any other kind of shampoo. The citrus scent is mild and refreshing. It’s not overpowering for people who are sensitive to scents. I highly recommend this shampoo bar.

Nice product, have to rub it a bit for it to foam. Only used it twice so far so early to tell whether it works well for strength and growth. Feels nice and clean after.
