This feels ridiculous to review, but when I was looking for a new one, I really wanted reviews and couldn't find many. For some super strange reason, no one seemed to want to talk about their experiences picking up their dog poop lol So, I will!First, my poopers, because that's relevant: one 65lb and one 80lb German Shepherd and American Pit Bull Terrier cross siblings, one 11lb Pomeranian in the household, and multiple visiting dogs as I groom out of the house and sometimes my petsitting clients come over to visit their friends as well. Most of the visiting dogs are between 15 and 30lbs, but several are 50 to 70lbs and a couple get very close to 100 or over.It's a lot of poop, picked up at least once daily, and in a lot of sizes. Plus, grossly, a lot of...variety. My dogs all eat raw, fresh food, and that very much has a positive impact on their poop just like everything else. My kibble clients go more often, the size of it is often unbelievable, and it tends to be like hard rubber, outright rocks, or exactly the opposite...which is the worst, of course.So, this scooper needed to handle this variety in size and grossness, as well as the need to use it at once daily, hose it down, and so on.It has!It went together easily, more easily than I expected it to. Some force is definitely necessary, but not so much that it was impossible for me to do. I have an immune system disorder that affects my joints, and like I said, I groom dogs, my hands are pretty done rather often. If I could do it, I think the average person could do it even more easily.On that same note, squeezing motions like one uses with these scoopers can be painful for me at times, but this opens with relative ease. Obviously, the spring has to be tight or it wouldn't remain close/close properly, so it isn't effortless, but compared to others I've had, it's infinitely easier and I haven't once been unable to do so due to it hurting.It closes securely, and there's no non-gross way to put it...you know when using this style of scoop that you often end up squishing or chopping things? I've had so much less of that with this one's design and scoop size. It honestly looks like it's about the same size as the old one I had, it doesn't look a ton bigger or anything, but the inside area is deeper and better shaped for the purpose.Even so, it's for picking up poop, it gets gross. My other concern was how easy it'd be to clean, no one wants a poopy scoop in the backyard and regardless of how healthy and cared for my clients and my own dogs are, it's a major transmitter of disease between dogs. I also have 0 desire to scrub a scooper daily. The design is totally great for being able to spray cleaner on and rinse, nothing just sticks.It hasn't been long enough for me to tell how well it'll withstand the extreme weather where I live. We have very high UVI, it's exceptionally hot and cold, it destroys things pretty fast. I feel like if the previous scooper lasted for years, this one is likely to as well, it seems to be much better made.Easy to put together, does the job better, good price, easy to use and to maintain. So, there you have it, someone who picks up way more than the average amount of dog poop recommends this item!

Does what's described and now I don't have to bend down to pick up the chocolate treats my dog so graciously leaves in my yard. I'm 6ft and it's the perfect height for me.
