Is this basket white or cream color?

I bought it as a gift last year, but I believe it was more white than cream. It was very pretty. I filled it with items for a baby shower and it's now being used for storage in the nursery.. When it came, it was a little misshapen from packaging, but I stuffed it with towels and let it sit for a few days, and it straightened out.

Can this basket be washed in the washing machine?

According to the product description it can be washed using the delicate cycle. I gave this as a gift so I don’t know how it holds up.

Would you get the large or extra large size for blanket storage?

I would recommend getting the largest size (extra large) if you’re considering blanket storage unless you’re only planning to store 1-2 small throw blankets.
