Great for cooking and health.
I love molasses. It's good for you. You can bake with it or take it as a nutritional supplement because of all the "B" vitamins it contains. Molasses costs a lot more in the grocery store for some reason. I much prefer to get it here on Amazon. It makes great gingerbread or gingerbread cookies. Some people also use it as a sweetener in their coffee or tea, but that's a matter of personal taste. It does have a strong flavor. It can also help you keep regular if you know what I mean. So if that's not your problems, be careful with how much you ingest, especially as a supplement. Less is more in that case.

Mighty Good Molasses
This is good molasses. It is labeled as light and mild but I wonder about that description. Calorically, I doubt it could be considered "light" or "lite". Compared to Brer Rabbit Blackstrap Molasses, I would say it is milder, therefore not as flavorful as Brer Blackstrap. Nor is this product as thick as Brer Rabbit, so maybe that's why they call it "light". To me, it tastes like "ordinary" molasses, sweet, caramelized, approaching burnt, all good qualities IMHO. Again, it has good consistency, though not as viscous as Brer, and typically dark brown, way beyond amber in color. But I prefer Brer Rabbit Blackstrap over this product primarily because of overall taste and thickness, much richer in flavor. I dunno if there is a USDA standard of identity for molasses but I wonder why the ingredient label is absent on the package, maybe someone could chime in on that. Brer Rabbit does include an ingredient label: unsulphured molasses. All in all, I am satisfied with the product and my wife has used it successfully in her baking, results are very good. But she too prefers the Brer Rabbit product. So when we need more molasses, we will make a better effort to find the Brer Blackstrap instead.Hope this helps.....

Slow As Molasses
Package arrived with two bottles damaged, (from shipping?), with the molasses seeping throughout the inside of the package. The jars are made from plastic rather than glass as with Grandma's and Plantation. Saved 3 - 1/2 jars. Taste was strong and cheap. If ALL jars had been received intact, I would have given the molasses 3 stars for delivery.

Quality
This is an excellent molasses at a very reasonable price. I've used it in various recipes and it never leaves me lacking, or overwhelmed in flavor. Very dark and zesty, just like they claim! I would definitely purchase this brand again.

Tastes great, but not 'light' in my mind
Dark, thick and rich. This molasses tastes great and is made in my home state. But there is nothing 'mild' about this molasses. I like a strong flavor so it doesn't bother me, but any more robust and I think it would taste burnt. If you love molasses, you will love this one. Try it on oatmeal or in yogurt for a change from regular sweeteners.

Slow As Molasses, Dark & Zesty--Great Food
This molasses was very tasty and is great for everything needing molasses, even when you are out of brown sugar and need to throw a substitute together from molasses and white granulated sugar. It was also one of the cheapest online.
