First off, I can't believe how cheap this music book is. $7.99 is very inexpensive for how much value you get in this book. Far better than any typical Hal Leonard book out there.As for the music, this is a fabulous book for people with several years of experience playing trombone. This book is a very valuable resource even for adults who want good practice material. I was initially worried this would be a bit too elementary, luckily that worry was quickly put to rest. That said, this would still be a very playable book for high school trombonists who are serious in their playing and willingness to learn.I graduated over ten years ago, and it had been nearly that long since I had last picked up my trombone. I only recently decided to pick it back up and start practicing (and making it a hobby), and this is the book I decided to go with. And I'm satisfied with that decision. Great book.

I purchased this book for my son who is in his second year playing trombone. The exercises are excellent for improving his range and mastery of slide positions - including alternative positions. Included are progressive studies that are challenging yet not too daunting for a new student.As a returning player, I've used the book to strengthen my embrasure and recall how to play. Its an excellent resource that is fun to play through. I highly recommend this book.

This is a tried and true method book for trombone/baritone. I'm back after 50 years off, and this is perfect (along with my Arban) for bringing me back to where I was in college. Many a trombonist has cut his eye teeth on Rubank Advanced Method - Trombone or Baritone, Vol. 1, and my library would be inadequate without it.

At first i was just going to purchase the intermediate but figured, man, it would be great to further hone my skills. This is a great step up for those who are serious about becoming great musicians in my opinion.

My instructor had me buy this as an advanced book for my euphonium studies. Only on the first page but looks to be challenging. It is an old standard for euphonium and trombone players.
