Nice lightweight hat, good fit but somewhat expensive for the weight.

I ordered this hat for a Halloween Costume where I will dress up as John Hammond from Jurassic Park. Heads do not get smaller with age. The hat appears to run slightly larger than expected. For a hat to be properly fit it should sit above the ear without touching it. This hat is just too large. Additionally, the construction is from really lightweight straw. This hat for the money seemed a bit expensive, but construction appears solid. Time will tell, but I am not sure this is an everyday hat.

Its a beautiful hat. I should ordered a large. The hat runs small.

I was disappointed in the quality and craftmanship of the hat. I have other hats that were purchased for $20 or less that are made just like this hat.

My favorite Stetson Panama hat was frayed beyond repair after about six years of use, so I decided to try this genuine Panama hat by Gamboa. It exceeded my expectations in every way - shipment arrived promptly, packaging was sturdy, providing total protection to the hat. Best of all, the hat is beautiful in its natural color version. It fits perfectly and looks great. Excellent value. Highly recommended. It is sure to be my new favorite hat this summer.

After one summer the hat cracked so it is really only one season. Looks good. So I will simply get a new one as none of them have lasted longer.

This handmade hat is gorgeous! It is nice to know that craftsmanship still exists in a world of mass produced cheap overseas items. The first hat was damaged during shipping; It was easy to return and no hassle. The second one arrived without damage and is perfect to use as a travelling hat in warmer countries. I plan to wear mine during our upcoming Greece trip which helps one blend in better in Europe rather than wearing the typical UK,USA, Canadian, Chinese tourist hats such as a baseball cap or safari hat (or even worse those sun visor hats). The weave is tight and the inner sweat band silk and soft. It came with two hat sizer inserts which, when placed on either side under the inner sweat band, stopped the slight side to side wobble and made it fit perfectly! One thing to also make sure you buy if you are taking this hat on holidays is a fedora travel case as throwing this hat into your bag will most likely result in it being damaged. If you’re planning on spending over $100 on a hat, spend another $60-$100 and buy a proper hat travel case.Awesome purchase and big thanks to the weavers who wove this hat!
