Infant Baby Toddler Protective Hat Helmet (Red Mouse)

This is a cute lil hat ,very cushy.. However If your child is at least a year and a half it may not work they will pull it off, at least in my case .I did send it back, the strap was detatched, but i managed it out of some piece of mind till i did sent it back. Do Keep this in mind some people buy it for the clumsy, just starting to walk purpose. Others because some children out of frustration literally knock themselves into things if they don't get there way. Hence this scenario I was completely heartbroken when i knew this wasn't going to work and fearing head injury, a light bulb went off in my very own head. This is what is working for us, everytime for the past 2 days he does head knocking I have picked him up kicking and crying, put him into the safest place that i could find... in my case his Pack and Play and firmly said" NO head Bumps" i would give him a few minutes only okay.Then go back in ,repeat "No Head bumps" upon entering room. He looked happy to see me and relieved he gives me hugs, then we start over till the next time..repeat. I will tell you It is working in 2 days time It has stopped by OVER 50% . I find the peace coming back . Now he looks up at me before he runs at anything and stops quick !! YAY There is hope.

The whole idea and concept seemed to be good. We wanted to protect our son’s head from getting bumped on the group or anywhere as he started growing and learning to walk. This didn’t really help. He actually made him more prone to falling because of the additional weight on his head that he is not used to having. He makes him off balance. And lastly, he hates it and concentrated on taking it off rather than walking. It did not work for us. Hopefully others have better success.

My little one was banging her head in the floor (developmental delays). In an attempt to stop this, I purchased this hat. It fit her great (she's 18 mos) and she did not seem to mind it being on. If she banged her head there was no 'damage' and she did in fact eventually stop (not getting the stimuli she was looking for). We will probably be using it again once she starts to walk. Highly recommend.

I bought this for my four month old when she started crawling early, she was so tiny to be crawling! It did an amazing job protecting her head from bumps. Even a few times when she was sitting and toppled over she didn't bump her head. its pretty plush with the padding and it can be adjusted to fit. Since this item has a helmet like neck strap I would recommend supervising baby at all times while wearing this. Over-all good product.

It’s a great idea and concept very well designed except that it states it has a clip to keep it on but it is just a tie that the baby can get off and it becomes a game for her. She has a big head and it fits her fine but I will also go a lot smaller. The padding is thick and the material is good. I wish my clumsy daughter would keep this on her head so I don’t have to have Anxity ALL the time!

Love this helmet! Purchased the Red Mouse pattern and it is very cute on the baby. Once she started crawling around and pulling up on everything I was getting anxiety about hitting her head when trying to climb/falling down and on the tile. This helmet has given me more peace of mind and to me that is worth way more than the cost of the helmet.I was nervous at first that the LO would not like wearing it, seeing as how she hates wearing headbands, but she doesn't mind it. Occasionally she will want to take it off, but not often. The circumference is adjustable with a giant velcro in the back and the chin strap is adjustable and closes with a buckle. The only thing I will comment for fit is that the tops of her ears are pushed down with the helmet on, so I simply tuck her ears under the helmet sides. If the sides of the helmet were slightly higher to accommodate ears better, I would give it five stars.The padding is definitely sufficient (IMO) for reducing the impact of a fall but not a substitute for watching the baby! I liked this helmet so much I PURCHASED ANOTHER FOR DAYCARE. I don't want the baby to be without it until she is more stable! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

i love the whimsy color its so cute its works for my walking bumping guy makes great gift which would be different at the baby showers ladies baby mostly dont mind and it washes well its a keeper for me

Pretty good product but my son hates it. He pulls it off constantly and refuses to wear it. I just wish there was a second set of straps that tie from behind the ear Under the chin to keep it more secure.

The product is just "OK" . But they should have provided proper safety hook lock for chin-strap and the velcro band. There is no use now, as the toddler can easily pull it of from his head. Also not recommending to tighten the provided chin strap.

Good....but toddlers tend to remove it when they realise there something on there head.
