It's a pretty good and entertaining tale!
Excellent. The story isn't convoluted like it could get with games that deal with time lines plot. Keep in mind this is not time traveling back and forth between past present or future, but time traveling between parallel dimensions although sometimes you can arrive in the future or past of that parallel dimension but you won't get back to those again. This prevents the plot from being a total mess of changes in a single timeline like certain ffxiii-2. The music and graphics are pretty beautiful. The battle system is a lot of fun that includes some tactics and thinking. The fields are about the right size and not too vast nor boring with tons of monsters to fight. Hated the loan to pad the length of the game but it is good if you need to level up or have some fun with battles then it will become a good excuse in the game that will push you to do so.Lots of non graphic related content with characters side stories that I enjoyed a lot and did them all. You will get back all the six party members from the previous games plus Gaius, Muzet, Elle (she is not playable though) and Ludger the main protagonist of this sequel. All of them come back with different outfits as well as the previous outfits and color variation of both and with their personalities slightly changed after one year but they are still awesome! The world is pretty much the same with the exception of three or four new locations in elympios. This game is perfect for those who like hack n slash and RPGs as well as those who enjoy anime and stories with depth and lots of dialogue which I do (of course it's a TALE so it must have lots of dialogue). Fans of the franchise should also play it. Tales of xillia both have been one of the darkest to date, which is also something very interesting to experience with. No doubt you will have humour and love in the game though!

This game is so great.
After finishing the first part of this game, I decided to buy this part a.s.a.p . It's worth every penny I spent. This game's story is one years later from the first game's ending. In this part, we have a new MC instead of Jude and Milla from part 1. This MC is a silent type like the MC from Persona 3 or 4. All he can say is "Oh!, Humh! Ah!..." so you have to "say" for him. You have to choose his words in some special event, and depend on what you picked up, you will get a matching ending. After all, the plot is great and built well. The battle system was kept from the first part but was added some more elements. You will have 3 types of physical attack instead of one like the first part and some thing called "dual mystic arte". It's great so buy a game and give it a try.If you have the file save from the first part and other tales of games, bandai will give you some bonus items although it's just attachments for your character. In short, buy it.. Just buy it.

Second helping of Tales Of Xillia
The "Tales Of" series has become one of the most amazing RPG series, using a really amazing battle system- and a learning system that typically spans the game well into the halfway point, helping the player settle into a nice foray of skills and artes, as well as standard levelling and other amazing elements now legendary in this series. Xillia 2 is as much fun as the original, and was not the last of the series, but using the PS3 for maybe it's last breath- the creators spun another magical quest of amazing art/graphics/characters and familiar elements. I love the series and look forward to re-playing Tales of Vesperia and Tales of Berseria on my PS4, both endearing games, as well as a new Tales game due in 2020! Better than Final Fantasy by far after FF12- These games will always have a place in my Playstation Canon.

and I didn't like it all that much in the beginning
I have only ever played Tales of Xillia, and I didn't like it all that much in the beginning. It was very hard for me to get into it at first, as it moved so incredibly slow with the story. the characters weren't very interesting to me either, and I feel this is a very important part of an RPG game. If you're going to spend so many hours, it needs to be appealing in these aspects. I kept with the game though, and kept playing. It finally grew on me halfway through, because I really loved the fighting/battling. Then the story picked up the pace, and it was alright then. So, after beating the original, I decided to buy Xillia2.So far, have not beat the game, but I'm really liking the changes to Xillia2 so far. It's pretty cool to see where the story is going to go with the decisions it allows you to take. Everything about the fighting from the first is there, with the second, on top of some neat changes. It does seem they amped the difficulty up a bit, which I'm really enjoying. I feel that after I'm fully done with the game, that I can't write a proper review, but at the same time, I'm very happy and satisfied with the game enough to want to write a review about it. So, all in all, if you liked the first one, you'll most likely love the 2nd as well.

With new introduction of mechanics and meeting familiar faces, Tales of Xillia 2 is a definite buy and a great game to have.
With Tales of Xillia 2 as the sequel to tales of Xillia, it is expected that some environments will be used again but the familiar faces and the entire ensemble meeting again is well worth it. The combat system is improved further with the introduction of a few new game mechanics but they stay true to the combat system of the Tales series and deliver a great story. There is also the introduction of the choices mechanic where you can choose how to play out your game, this leads to you being able to build relationships with your fellow friends and even choose between 3 different endings like how JRPGS have always been although the game does have its downsides such as being able to only choose 4 party members when venturing out into the wild, it is still a great game worth having if you are considering whether to pick up this wonderful Tales game.

Good game
A surprisingly good sequel. Got to know all the new characters without sacrificing development of the old cast from Xillia 1 that I had come to love. Loved the story and the treatment of all the characters. Gameplay got a bit repetitive after a while - after all the character stuff was done I just rushed toward the end. One of the few Jrpgs I've ever played, pumped close to 100 hours into it, and worth every minute of my time.

It arrived quicker than expected
The media could not be loaded. I used this product for my ever-growing collection of tales games. It’s a great series and really fun.

Buon sequel

Tales of Xillia 2 - PlayStation 3
It's brand new with a sealed plastic when it arrives. Not the best Tales game but I had a fun playing it, though I much prefer Xillia 1.

what a fun and good game even though it is the squeal
what a fun and good game even though it is the squeal.Intelligent battle design and such a good story line. Ingenious game. I don't which one I like better tales of symphonia or this one. This one is slightly better in my opinion.
