Do you need to prime this chalkboard first?

The instructions say to prime the board first so I did. It wasn’t difficult to prime the board. It was actually pretty easy. I just took a piece of chalk and put it on side and covered the whole board in chalk. I wiped the chalk off and it was ready to use. Priming the board didn’t harm it or take away from the finish.

It's typical chalkboard material. It is hard, but does need to be prepped like a regular chalkboard.

What brand liquid chalk erases easy on these? Want to know before I’d purchase since several reviews say they had trouble erasing. Thank you!!

Chalk erases easily, but you need a magic eraser to erase chalk markers. It comes off easily with these, but just FYI. I would say this pertains to most brands of the chalk markers.
