Runes of Issalia: The Complete Collection: Books 1-3

I was unable to stop reading every time that I picked up my iPad, I found that I couldn’t stop mid chapter throughout the entire book. The characters were all very interesting, talented and loyal to each other.

I was surprised to find myself enthralled by this book series. The characters are fun to get to know, though there are some that you wish to follow more.

The story was very good. Progressed nicely. Good story line. The characters very well defined. I would recommend the books.

This is a complete story with NO loose strings. NOT a cliffhanger. While I enjoyed the story I have to say it was rather... simplistic? I'd say it was written for pre-teens if it wasn't for the gore involved in the fights. And folks, let me tell you MAGIC fixes everything! Even if you don't have a single clue what you're doing. Action/adventure? Lots! Romance? Yes. Sex? Anything more than kissing is only implied.

Enjoyed the collection from the first story.The collection was a mastery of twist and changes in direction. Magic, sword play, inventions, and an oppressive society.If I say more it would ruin the read. Highly recommended.

The action was easy to follow but the plot was only okay—no fire to it and even at the end of the first book I wasn’t invested to know where the story was going to go. Some of the characters, especially the main one, Brock, seemed way too self-righteous while others remained flat and one-sided.

I really love this series!! Magic, adventure, deciet, loyalty and love all in this fantastic series?! I can't wait to read the next series!!

This is a very entertaining and well written novel. I do not call it an epic fantasy novel. It actually is a coming of age very entertaining story. I was planning to read only the first volume and read something else, but I became so embroiled in the story line, as well as in the behavior of the very charismatic characters that I read the three volumes plus the accompanying novella. Nevertheless, I have found the last chapters of the final volume as being extremely boring. Also, I did not like that the Banshees. were humans mutated by Chaos, and that the Kadabras were dogs mutated by Chaos. I would have preferred that the Banshees were presented as an independent species and the Kadabras also presented as an independent species. I heartily congratulate Mr Kohanek for including love and sex in The Runes Of Issalia.. It's like a breeze of fresh air in the mostly sexless ambiance of epic fantasy.😁😊😁🐶🐶

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading this series and look forward to reading the Wardens of Issalia series. I can’t wait to see how Issalia deals with the evil that is the Black Hand.
