... bowrider for almost 2 mo's now & I'm really happy with it
I've had the support pole installed on my 18' bowrider for almost 2 mo's now & I'm really happy with it. It's made of aluminum (not bendy plastic), it came with sev extensions (if you had a big boat) and it's really easy to install. The first time I set it up was a pain and I should've had someone else help, but once you get the straps adjusted it's very quick. The tail straps simply snap on/off and the front loops the bow. It doesn't shift or collapse even after some very heavy spring rains.I extend it up approx 3-5" over the windshield height & I'd say it eliminates 90% of pooling. I still get a little water up front & have a small pool on either side, but I think more adding more cover straps would probably eliminate that. It's much easier than having to bucket out tons of water after a big rain!

Works as described!
I struggled with our boat cover from pooling but with this support system water runs off like it should. Fits our 09’ Malibu wakesetter Lsv.

works good with additional support pole
Good product but needs another support pole for the front. My boat is 20' long and with the additional pole it works great and isn't that hard to set up by yourself.

Meh
Ease of installation is good. There is no way to get the straps tight enough to shed rain water from the tarp and it has to be bailed after every rain. We put buckets under the tarp in strategic places, but it still sags and holds water. Maybe a couple more poles front and rear would help. Not impressed.

Never use the mushrooms on a stick again
We have a 21 ft bowrider in SC (lots of wind and rain). I used to use 3 mushroom type supports, had to get underneath the cover (not tooo hot on a 95 deg day) to put the supports up and then sometimes the wind would still knock them over and rain would pile up. Not so with this system!! We had a 2" rain last week and the cover was right where I left it. Only negative thing I can say is I was hoping to avoid getting up in the boat altogether when putting the cover on, but that's not the case. Not sure that has anything to do with the strap system though...Very easy to use. Once you have the strap length set, you just clip 'em on the next time. As you can tell, I love it!

Beware of quality of material
I should be asking for my money back. First snow fall of the season. The pole bent in half and all the snow fell in inside. Had to shovel everything out and get u der the tarp. I used the same straps but replaced the pole with a 4x4 wood that i had left behind previous winterizations. I suggest the manufactorer makes the part with stonger material or sell this rated only for rain purposes. Think about it i should make my own product an seel it ;)

Not so good
Easy to set up and works pretty well. I got made fun of a little bit when I told how much I paid for the setup. You really could rig something like this up pretty easy for not very much money. The one gripe I have is that the straps can't be pulled as tight as I'd like, they slip. But so far with just rain everything has worked. If it fails when the snow comes because of the straps slipping I'll update my review.Update 12/25/2015: One thing I wondered about is the strange decision they made to use snaps to hold the back two straps in place. Makes no sense at all, why wouldn't they use a locking connector? So, sure enough, one of those crappy snaps failed to hold in a mild snowstorm and unsnapped itself, causing the whole thing to collapse. The back of the boat had about an inch and a half of snow on it and that stupid snap let go. Terrible design. I really don't want to have to babysit my boat like this, it's ridiculous. I have rigged it up to work using my own connectors but I would not recommend buying one of these. Even with me fixing it to make it work better, which I should not have had to do, I do not like the center pole. The top of it is too small. I am going to fix that too, but why do I have to redesign this thing for them? Out of the box and using what they provide it will do fine in normal rain but that is it. I do not recommended at all for snow.

Great design and quality
If you own a boat and store it outdoors you know how brutal the elements can be on a cover. Many of the problems I have encountered come from wind and rain. Those problems are exacerbated by my inability to effectively support the cover. This support system addresses the fundamental problem of even the slightest depression in the cover. Wind loosens the cover and rain collects in the depression.Collapsing the cover and pushing the support aside or ripping the cover. This support is easily height adjustable and stabilizes the support pole. When setting up the support I was able to position and tighten the pole and support straps from outside the boat. Nice. The cover then slips over the pole and straps again from outside the boat. I have an 18' fishing boat on a trailer, your results may vary.
