Exactly as I remember from my childhood!
As soon as I was reminded that they existed (and can be purchased without having to go to a doctor's office or grandmother's house), I hunted down these strawberry candies from my childhood.This was the second vendor I tried; the first one's candies were similar, but weren't quite the same flavor as the ones I remembered, and seemed a little stale. These candies are exactly what I was looking for: fresh, sweet, and with that soft center I wanted.Now I keep a bowl of these in the living room, ready to whisk my friends back in time.

I had to try a couple other brands before I found these. These candies are larger and actually have a chewy center, as opposed to ones that are hard all the way through, or only have a tiny bit of filling.
