Q: Does this fit half gallon milk cartons without the screw-cap (old style)?

Yes, perfectly. They are actually the same size, the only difference is that, because you open one of the tent sides that side needs to face forward while the flat side (where the screw cap would be), will be to the left or right of the handle, not in front.

Q: Why can't I find this item in the Amazon.ca website?

Q: Will this hold a large round plastic soda bottle?

We have used the Carton Caddy XL with 2 litre / half gallon plastic soda bottles, yes.

Q: Size ? brand 'a2 milk' carton says '59oz'. this holder says 1/2 gallon=64 oz. does it fit a '59oz -1/2 gal' size? idk if other brands vary sizes too.

I have been able to put in 1/2 gal paper milk cartons of milk or juice from the store. Do not know if plastic containers will fit it as I do not buy in plastic. LOVE it for my milk as I have dexterity issues gripping hand around 1/2 gal containers. Very sturdy. Hope that helps
