Stone & Mill 2 Glass Coffee Cups 12 oz, Insulated Double Wall Coffee Mugs AM-12

After reading all of the reviews, I ordered these realizing that I would not be able to put them in the dishwasher. I really liked the look of them and I wanted the function of insulation, so I took a chance.PROS:- They are light weight - you will be shocked by how light!- They do keep liquids hotter... Not like a Yeti mug, but the liquid does stay hotter than a normal ceramic or glass mug.- They are beautiful. They will class up your morning coffee.CONS:- Once you touch these things, you will realize that you absolutely should not put them in a dishwasher (as the instructions say). Still, hand washing fragile mugs is probably not your favorite task.- The instructions also say not to put boiling hot water in them or stir with a metal utensil inside of them. Well, I'm a semi-rebel, so I do both and they have lasted 2 months. Now mind you, I'm stirring gently with a spoon, not beating them with a fork or knife.FINAL WORDS:I really love them and use them on mornings when I have time to hand wash dishes. If they implode because of the boiling hot water or spoon stirring, I will take the blame for not following instructions.

Got my family a new Nespresso cappuccino and latte machine. However, what fun is there when you cannot see the layering of the coffee and milk? Hence the decision to buy glass latte cups, which led me to the discovery of insulated glass cups like these handsome ones by Stone & Mill. I prefer cups with handles because heck, that’s how hot drinks are supposed to be drank right? Not that you need the handles, because the double glass layers of these cups does a great job of keeping the outside of the glass insulated from the heat of the drink (which means the drink also stays hot longer).Functionality aside, I chose this brand because from the pictures, they seem to have the perfect proportions of what I expect from a “mug”. It’s height allows me to fit it comfortably under my expresso machine. It’s 12oz volume also means I can pour a whole can of soda into it if I was so inclined.I was not disappointed when the 8 cups I ordered arrived. They were indeed gorgeous! I did notice that one had a slight imperfection at the bottom of the inside glass, which would probably have gone unnoticed if not for the fact that I bought 7 other ones which were so perfect in appearance. Rather than return it to Amazon, I took up their suggestion on the enclosed package slip and corresponded with the company via email. Within a few days, I had not one, but two perfect replacements arrive at my doorstep.I have used the Stone & Mill cups on a daily basis for the past month now, and I can honestly say that I have not have any problems whatsoever with them. Everyone who has seen them has praised them, especially when there is a cappuccino or latte drink inside! I would definitely consider sending them to friends as gifts in the future.

These are the type of mugs I had been trying to get for ages till I finally found them on Amazon’s market.That was some time back. However they came with the inner cups “off-center” - - one more so than theother. In other words, the inner cup was situated a little more to one side rather than exactly in the middle.However I kept them and used the one that was less obvious.Later I tried to order more in case my issue was just a one-time occurrence and some new ones would beOK.But Amazon no longer had them in stock; still, I left them on my wish list.Had all but given up till I recently saw that they were back. What a surprise!Ordered them before they “disappeared” again and am I glad I did!These that came are not only perfect in shape but seemingly the company has somewhat modifiedthe mugs as they appear to be even prettier than the first ones I had ordered months back. Even therims have a beautiful shine, sometimes I tend to see a somewhat golden-like gleam about them when room light is turned on.Likely my imagination but still doesn’t make them any less attractive. Hope to find how they can maintaintheir shine though. I wash them only by hand with a mild dishwashing liquid as it is.Also, they have a spacey, comfortable handle that should easily accomodate a man’s hand plus they’relight enough for a lady to pick up with no problem.Needless to say, I am fairly happy with my purchase.May even order another pair as back-up!Thank you Anchor and Mill and, of course, Amazon.

First the quality of the cups is first rate. They perform as expected in that the cup can be grasped with comfort even when it contains a very hot liquid. Second, the fabrication of the cups is smooth and of good quality. You should note that they are made from borosilicate glass, which used to be called "Pyrex" until that brand was sold. Most US produced glass labeled Pyrex is actually what is known as "soft glass". Soft glass has a number of disadvantages compared to borosilicate such as, it is more likely to retain internal stresses and strains from the fabrication process and is therefore more likely to fail when subject to high temperature differences. That is why soft glass is "tempered" which improves its durability. However, that feature is markedly impaired if the glass is scratched. Borosilicate glass is the standard glass used in scientific work for its strength, inertness and ability to withstand heat stress.Second the customer focus was also first rate for me. I objected to a small flaw in one cup from the first set I ordered and the response was fast. With minimal formality - just proof of purchase (an Amazon order number) and a description of the issue (usually a photo will suffice) I received two new cups to replace the one. No cost, no sweat, no hassle.I would recommend this product and company to others.Signed: A former glassblower.

These are really beautiful mugs. They arrived with very good packaging in a nice presentable box, so would be suitable for gifting.I already have a couple of really solid Bodem mugs, so was surprised to find that these mugs are incredibly light! They are double insulated, and hollow in between. This is great for keeping your drink warm and not burning any hands! Be mindful that because of the double insulation, the liquid capacity is slightly smaller than it may look.For myself, the reason that I have knocked these down a star is that I can't help but feel that I have to handle these with a lot of care. The other thing to note is that these are not dishwasher safe. If you don't care about having to be precious with these and want a very practical mug for keeping your drink warm, whilst looking awesome, then these come highly recommended!I have summarised the benefits / disadvantages below:Pros- These will look beautiful in any home, and definitely a talking point for guests- Would make very nice gifts- double insulation means that they will keep your drink warmCons- Needs to be handled with care, and not dishwasher friendly.Please note that I received this for a discount in order for my honest and unbiased review. Nice mugs. Just the right size. I'd heard they're a bit delicate, but handle them with care, and they'll be ok. Only had them a few days, but no probs, so far. I warm them up with some off-the-boil water first, then pour in my tea or coffee. Seems to keep my drink hotter than normal, for longer than normal. The fact that they look damned fine, doesn't hurt either.

Our new mugs arrived quickly, were packaged very well, & we received an email to let us know when they had been dispatched. We're really happy with the mugs, they are surprisingly light weight, are extremely well made & look beautiful. Being double walled, they also really do keep drinks much warmer. We wouldn't hesitate to purchase products from this company again.

Bought these mugs to use at Christmas for mulled wine. They are fabulous, outside wall is just warm whilst the wine kept hot for ages. They won't be put away with Christmas decorations I shall use them in the Motorhome. Perfect for tea and coffee whilst sitting outside in the winter sun.

Bought new Krupp bean to cup machine and needed new cups after lots of research and feedback I chose these excellent cups. Arrived next day in some of best packaging I've seen. Been using everyday since trust me these are the best coffee mugs you will get.
