Q: I have a he washer. do i use the dispenser for washing detergent or pour straight into the washer? im not sure if it makes a difference or not.

I use the dispenser, just like for any other detergent.

Q: Why do they recommend washing hot, hot water will destroy the fibers and make them less effective?

Because the water in most household washing machine does not getting hotter than 140 degrees Fahrenheit, so it shouldn’t harm the microfiber. The metal inside dryers can get very hot, even on low heat. The microfiber towels can cling to the side of a dryer and get really hot quickly and melt the fibers. In the washing machine, they are constantly moving at an even heat, so this isn’t an issue. If your water heater is set high, maybe stick with the warm setting on wash cycle.
