It is chalk
I am new to billiards and needed chalk. I cannot say how well this chalk grips, or how well it lasts, or its ability to spin the cue ball when compare to other chalk as I have no experience with other chalks.I can tell you that I felt this was a good price for entry level chalk and thus far I have had no issues with this chalk as it seems to be doing its job.I have had no issues cleaning the chalk from cue ball, no staining so far! And it is easy to apply chalk to the cue stick.The choice of colours was nice, be sure to pick a colour that matches your felt.

Broken Bag, Chalk not in a box
I received this chalf that was NOT in a box as shown. Was in a plastic zip lock that was busted open and purple chalk dust got everywhere. Other than the packaging, loved the color.

Works great and high quality
Works great for our pool sticks and is high quality. Highly recommend if you have a tan pool table.

People were stealing the chalk at a local pool hall, so we bought this.
It's great chalk and a different color than the one at the pool hall so we know it is ours. Unfortunately, people were stealing all the chaulk, so now we buy our own to make sure we have some on hand.

It doesn't last the longest, but for the price... it's good. I'm not an amazing player. Just a once a week shooter. I get decent action with it.
