Love this movie
Just as good as the first, if you love horror and gore movies you will like this film. Very well acted and it seems like the leave it on a cliffhanger. I would love to see what they do with a third film if they ever make one.

Loved Brian Austin Greene.
Considering that I wasn't expecting too much, this kind of did better than my expectations. I did not see the first one at all and after watching the extras I will not be watching it but this as a stand alone movie worked okay for me. Brian Austin Greene made this movie for me to be sure. He has this bad guy vibe down pretty good. If I had to say the one thing that bothered me was the almost going blind girl who is taken by the bad guys and all she does is make a ton of noise and whimper and cry and scream. No matter how many times she is told to keep it down she just never stops and it really did annoy me, oh and not to forget the boy sacrificing himself for the girl....again. The killings are pretty good and very gory and violent. For all my fellow horror fans, I do give it a recommendation.

The Life and Times of Chromey
Let’s be clear...I’m only giving it 3 stars bc Chromeskull is a scary scary killer...his whole look creeps me out. Like if I came upstairs and he stepped out of the shadows, he wouldn’t have to kill me bc I’d just drop from fright. The mask, the knife, the creepy video recorder perched on his shoulder....scary.The movie though, just dumb. I’ll give it points for gore and murderous mayhem so if you’re into blood and gore, it’s got plenty. However, the plot is severely lacking. What made Chromeskull so terrifying in the original, was u knew nothing about him—man, monster, who knows? Now it’s not spoiling anything to say u get basically a day in the life with this installment...he goes to his bowling league, buys stamps, microwaves a Lean Cuisine...ok I exaggerate but it’s kinda true...Once u start showing all this kinda stuff about the ‘monster’ he’s lost all the scary mystery and just becomes some weird bowling guy who gets his kicks by killing(again I exaggerate but u get the point). Scare factor zero. The actors were totally dislikeable too. Their characters were 2D and lacked any depth or motivation, besides Chromey’s assistant, who obvs wanted to move up the murder-ladder. I couldn’t really root for the victims bc I had no investments in the characters, or the killer for that matter. It all fell flat.Basically it’s a good slasher movie if you’re into that genre and there’s a lot of gore for the gore crowd. But if you’re looking for the whole package like the original brought to the screen, ur gonna b very disappointed.

Not too bad!
Was way better than the first film (acting was a bit cheesy) Chromeskull is a pretty bad ass killer with some gory kills up his sleeve! ❤️

awesome slasher flick! (SPOILERS!)
great gory slasher, better than the 1st, it has SAW elements check it out you'll see what i mean. the plot was ok, a little confusing about chromeskulls orginization/cult(BIG PLOTHOLE) who knows. the casting was fine they brought back the guy from the 1st one but a different woman was cast in this one(the other survivor that killed chromeskull). they kill her off at the beginning. Danielle Harris and Brian Austin Green work for chromeskull, no explanation why. But other than that its a great slasher i have seen in a while(also check out SCRE4m), check it out. Also watch after the credits there's more.

uhhhh......
I don't know how I feel about it. It wasn't terrible but it lost my interest throughout the movie. The gore scenes were good, but they almost got too predictable. Predictable as in, "you know it's going to be extreme and ridiculous" so it doesn't surprise you when someone else dies in a brutal, horrific way. But at the same time, I like those kind of gore movies...but eh, it wasn't the most exciting.I liked the idea of the chromeskulled slasher guy, but I feel like he needed someone else to make him into a horror movie. He deserves to be on the big screen in a more expensive movie, in my opinion. With real actors and better film editing and directing...because I find him bad ass.All in all, it's OK. Maybe not worth buying, wait for a price reduction.

"We can rebuild him! We have the technology!"
This movie starts immediately where the first one ended, unfortunately, instead of heading for Atlanta they took a turn for the worse. Very little about this installment supports the setup of the first film. Instead of keeping the mystique of Chromeskull intact, they lose themselves trying to construct an elaborate back-story to explain things they never actually bother to explain. For example, Chromeskull is put back together like the Six Million Dollar Man! He apparently has an entire team working for him. Odd, considering most serial killers don't work by committee. Among the battalion of helpers, Chromeskull has a tiny sycophant aid (played with little to no ability by Danielle Harris who is still trading on her one claim to fame: Halloween), and a stupid wannabe (played with little to no ability by TV actor Brian Austin Green). It was distractions like these that helped tank this sequel. First of all, if it isn't broken don't try to reinvent what you know already worked. Don't limit the story by bringing in elements that are absurdly impossible (no amount of reconstructive surgery could bring back Chromeskull's head!). Having the victim in this piece practically legally blind was also redundant; especially considering the final showdown took place in the dark! Making the police a notch above the Keystone Cops added an element of hilarity I don't think they were trying for. In the entire cast only one actor (Thomas Dekker) took his part seriously and acted appropriately in the given circumstances. The rest of the cast just floundered, flopping around like dead fish. Pathetic.Even though the postscript setup the possibility of another sequel, this is one viewer who won't be bothering to check it out.

Being a big fan of director Robert Hall's original slasher epic ''Laid to Rest'' I approached this sequel with high hopes as the first entry delivered enough inventive, blood soaked shenanigans to satisfy the most jaded of gore fan, piquing my interest as to how they were going to develop this into a bona fide 'slasher franchise'.... Well, I didn't have to wait long as Hall returned a few years later with a bloodier, but not necessarily cleverer follow up...We pick up mere moments after where the first movie ended (Hey! 'Halloween II' fans!) and find 'Princess' (Allison Kyler) and Tommy (Thomas Dekker) hightailing it Speedy Gonzalez-like following their bloody dispatch of crazy-bonk serial murderer Jesse "ChromeSkull" Cromeans (Nick Principe) and finding salvation in a nearby motel. At the very same time, Chromeskull is rescued by an unknown organisation led by Preston (Brian Austin Green), who begin about his rehabilitation to ensure he is all fine and dandy so he can resume his favourite pastime of murderising folk... Who, why or what somehow passed me by - but in the end, I stopped worrying about these lame attempts at ''deepening the mythos'' as they just took me out of the movie, so decided to let it pass and focus on the funky gore effects, which thankfully there are many. As the movie progresses, Chromeskull gets his mojo back and goes on a whole new splatter filled rampage - this time zoning in on Jessica (Mimi Michaels) and her friends, whilst Preston (whose disillusioned with Chromey's leadership) takes it upon himself to become a killer himself, donning the mask and forging his own path as a bona fide lunatic. Which you know, is nice. This second movie is a big step back from the pretty good original. Gone is the vague spookiness and off kilter atmosphere, replaced by an over cooked script which proceeds to ruin any form of mystery that the character may have by roping in a dull ''oh, he's just part of an organisation'' type deal - which at times reminded me of that lame 'Thorn Cult' thingy in 'Halloween 6'. The original, which felt like a cross between 'Phantasm' and ''The Prowler' is still a wild ride (and would heartily recommend) but this one shortchanges all the good work put in by taking the series out of its tight slasher routes and placing the concept into a more generic thriller-type model, albeit with entrails and puncture wounds. The cast try their best and its clear director Hall knows how to shoot - but his script demystifies the central concept and therefore renders the lead villain largely dull and frankly ineffective in his own franchise...OMGs! UK DVD release sports a fine transfer with vibrant audio. Sadly, the movie doesn't look as unique as the original and feels more straight forward in terms of cinematography, where the most 'horror themed' it goes for is a low rent 'Saw' sequel - which if I'm honest it mostly resembles. Shame to say but for me, this was a major letdown. Let's hope things get back on track for the third episode...

"..TOP SLASHER SEQUEL.."
This is a cut above the brilliant original movie especially on the gore level, the story is very well thought over continuing on from where the first movie ended, there is a deeper twist to the character and his followers, this is an extreme gore movie indeed with no holds barred blood and guts literally guts splashing all over the screen in as many shocking yet cool inventive ways as possible, chromeskull is certainly one of the best movie maniacs that's been invented in a while, this is defiantly a must for gorehounds and certainly a prize place in the horror collection. The extreme uncut Blu-ray is very good quality for money, region free, lots of cool features, all in English language!!!

Takes slasher gore to a new level
Laid to Rest (2009) blew me away with it's gore. The Sequel, Chromeskull (2011) takes it to another level. It's probably the goriest slasher movie that I have so far seen - and I have watched A LOT! I wish I could award this film 5 out of 5 but sadly the weak plot & at best average acting lets it down. On the plus side, in addition to the extreme gore, it does star scream queen Danielle Harris, plus a few other hot chicks, & this is the unrated version.

I found the story to this a little poor, and it loses your attention regularly
I found the story to this a little poor, and it loses your attention regularly, but if you are into gore like me, then there is PLENTY of it here. You want a really enjoyable storyline then give this a miss, but if blood and guts is your thing, the definately give this one a go!
