Q: If I use this as a regular vase, will the water leak?

The stainless steel colored versions have no holes, so they will not leak. The white and black versions have drainage holes, but they come with rubber plugs to prevent leaks. In either case, you can use it as a regular vase without leaking.

Q: It says there are drainage holes; does this need a plate underneath for indoor use?

There are rubber plugs in the drainage holes that prevent water from leaking out. Simply remove the plugs over a sink when drainage is required.

Q: Will this hold strawberries most of the time?

I don't really know. We use it as a planter, and it doesn't leak or anything. I would think it could hols strawberries just fine. It is rather long and might be difficult to clean.
