I had very high admiration for Elgi Ultra until this purchase. We have been using Ultra wet grinder and gas stove for several years and highly satisfied with both those products. I expected a similar quality and design in this mixer grinder. Unfortunately, I am thoroughly disappointed with this mixer grinder.Pros:1) Metal body and Jar materials are excellent.2) The screws inside the jar is not having any grooves and it helps to avoid dirt accumulation and makes it easy to clean.3) Plug with a pull handle is an innovation.Cons:1) Noise levels are high and not better than my 10 years old mixer.2) Safety jar locking feature is a big let down. (see the pictures and further explanation)Safety Lock Switch:The piece received by me is having an extremely hard and tight switching mechanism. Locking the jar in the right position is not smooth and need a bit of force. The switch does not release automatically and stays in locked position. I had to use a small pin to push it down again and release the switch. This makes the safety feature meaningless.Jar Locking Notch:While the overall product is built with strong plastic materials, this most important and critical locking notch is having a thin 1mm plastic. It is extremely delicate and highly susceptible to breakage within a short period of usage.I have received the medium jar in which the locking notch was broken and the small jar in which the locking notch was half broken and about to fall off. Both these jars are not working as the notch is broken and unable to push the safety switch downwards. Only the large jar where the notch is in good condition is working properly.Packing and contents:- There was no user manual, warranty card and invoice.- Packing had no Thermocol protection. The supplier used newspapers to fill the gaps.I have asked for return and refund.Recommendation:Please do not go by the videos. It is better to physically see the product before buying. I wish Elgi Ultra makes changes to the locking system. Hope this is useful.

Received the product but it turned out to be a defective one. Only one of the three jars was working. I had to lodge an online complaint and get it sorted - it is still not fully ok. The service executive has to disconnect the jar switch and make it direct so that all jars worked fine.My suggestion:AVOID BUYING ULTRA PRODUCTS. THEY ARE NO LONGER AS GOOD AS THEY WERE. THE AFTER SALES SERVICE ISN’T ANY GREAT EITHER!

Never buy a ultra mixer, it's simply worstThe service for the motor is not available even at the service center reason is they have stopped the manufacturing due to too many complaints. Due to the defective motor it makes too much of noise just like a earth moving machineAnd the blades inside the jars doesn't move easily, it's getting stuckAll the 3jars have the same problem.When approached the service center they say no service possible for motor
