What is the difference between digital 9815 and 8385

9815 and 8385 are the production batch, the parameters and functions are the same, they are common.

this has a different number in the picture than the description, which is correct?

The numbers describe the amp draw the relay is rater for. I noticed that in description that they don't list amp draw but the relay they picture is one of the highest rated. I'm replacing a starter relay so I need a relay rater up to 30 amps or so. If you have a underrated relay or a well used relay it will appear your battery is bad or your starter is dragging. Same with fuel pumps, ect. Many things like horn, windshield washer pump,ect don't draw as much so just about any relay that physically fits will work. It's best to replace others with the right rated relay. Many times if underrated, it will work fine for a short while and then cause other problems. Hope this helps
