Instructions are included!
I purchased this book for a friend to provide inspiration while we work on folded paper ornaments together. I was pleased with the quality of the book, including the photography, the layout, and the many beautiful paper projects for which instructions are included. The softcover binding and weight of the paper feels nice to hold. Not a factor for many people, perhaps, but always noted by me. I will consider this again when looking for a gift for artistic friends.

Beautiful and giftable
I've tried some of the initial projects in this book, but the later projects recommend cotton paper as it maintains a fold more effectively. If this is a gift for someone it might be nice to include cotton paper with the book. I have no complaints about the aesthetic of the book.

Great Book
I teach a college art class in 3D design and am always looking for ways my students can experiment inexpensively with 3D form. This book has some great techniques for working with paper, without being a "project" book.

Weak on how to do it, strong on variety of designs
Not so impressed with the book. The book never shows the burnishing tool used to create the crease or the back of a scalpel. It doesn't show the actual process of using the burnishing tool along a French curve or mention how much pressure to apply. This is the most important step in the process I don't get why it would not be show in a photo of this? Would a butter knife work?
