This really works like it says. I have been wanting something like this for over 30 years, but just too lazy to do it myself. For me, they reduce 80% - 90% of the wind noise in my ear.FIRST off, be sure to measure your front ear strap first, with my helmet I got the Short Wind-Blox and it fits just right, the normal/regular one would have been too long for my strap.The only glitch I found was the thickness, fitting it with my helmet straps. I have the Giro Register MIPS helmet, and the straps around the ear are sewn together and do not adjust or extend. The instructions state to attach the noise reducer with the thick part of the unit inside the strap, next to your head, but for me, it made the strap uncomfortably tight. So I just turned them around and attached with the thick padded section on the outside of the strap, with the Wind-Blox logo next to my head. Sorry Wind-Blox, no one can see the logo now.... oh well!All-in-all, I do recommend the Wind-Blox for reducing wind noise. I wish I had some YEARS ago!

This product works, the key is to understand there are two main lengths; 3" and 4", and needs to be mounted correctly. I originally purchased the longer one that didn't fit well with my helmet/sunglass setup. I later exchanged for the 3" length, and now I am happy. I cycle with POC spin helmet, Smith reverb sunglasses, and classic mirror, along with one I-pod in the R ear. This helps to reduce whistling at the I-pod at high speeds, I can also hear approaching car traffic/cyclists to my rear better which has increased safety. Granted there are some humongous glasses out there that may not work. But overall I always want a safer ride with less noise. Hope this helps others, ride on.

Used twice at two speed averages 11.1 MPH average and at 12.5 MPH average ..creates a very wide face profile ...but Neither time did they do anything for sound blocking. Reread the installation instructions for the second ride since the first use yielded absolutely no perceptible results at all. Didn't hear cars better nor did /i hear the group any better. Still heard plenty of straight on wind I will try them once more at about an average speed of 13.5 or so just to stay in the test parameters that they list ... At speeds of 25-35 they do nothing. I was hopeful that they would block some wind but I have yet to detect where they blocked anything at all. I have the 4" model on a Giro Helmet they fit well and stay in place but no effect at all. And in the summer heat of the south they may be terribly hot with the bulkiness... might try it. I'm going to try without them and see if I can detect any difference .... so far it seems that they do nothing

It does significantly reduce wind noise. It also makes it almost impossible to get your cycling glasses to sit outside the helmet straps, and if you post your glasses inside the straps it creates a gap allowing more wind noise.

These work great for me. I have a Garneau Raid helmet and a small-medium head. With the way the helmet fits me, the Wind-Blox is a bit longer than the strap, but I was still able to attach it. My helmet is actually a little more comfortable and fits more snugly with these attached. They do not block 100% of wind noise, but they eliminate the worst noise, the high-pitched wind that seems to go directly into your ear canal. With these, the wind sounds more distant and more like a hum. I wear earbuds while riding on a bike trail, and the Wind-Blox make it much easier to hear the audio. This allows me to turn the volume down considerably, so now I can also hear external sounds better. The materials seem to be very sturdy and top-quality. The velcro is strong and the outside feels like soft neoprene.

Not impressed. Simple enough to install but makes wearing your cycling glasses impossible unless you put them under them which defeats the whole purpose. Tried them for one ride but unless the earpieces are over the wind block, they don't so anything. And then my glass just flop all over and don't fit over my ears. Wanted to like them but hate them

What a simple yet effective product. I don't think I'll ever ride without them again.Of course they don't block ALL wind noise...and the company's assertion that they block 80% seems a bit optimistic...but they absolutely do block a LOT of the direct headwind noise.I was underwhelmed for the first few minutes; but then I sat up and pulled them away from my ear and was pretty shocked at the difference that they make. And they are rather slim and don't look bad or even all that noticeable.Huge thumbs up!

Are they perfect, no, but they help and makes my tunes that much clearer. Wind sound is reduced and you don’t notice that they are installed, at least for me and how my helmet straps are positioned.
