Great book
A good large size book to buy with concise history+graphics.

Disappointing production values
Some photos awful quality & blown up full page, & the pages themselves are magazine thin, so feels like it won’t last, prob not great for children on that basis. A lot of information, but I found it strangely unsatisfying & hard to digest. I’m not a natural historian (more into art history) so willing to believe it would suit others.

Content is very comprehensive and clear, one star deducted for quality of paper
The quality of books published by DK is overall excellent. However there seems to be some inconsistency with the publication this time. The quality of the reference material is excellent with its aesthetically pleasing visually and illustrations. However on this book the paper seems quite cheap. If I browsed through it quickly, I swear I would probably tear a page. I bought a book on Classic Music also published by DK and pages are better quality and thicker. The publication team should pull its socks up.

Great Coverage of Indian Events
This is a great overall timeline book for teaching your kids about India and its roots and culture.+ Covers a wide range of events so its well thought out.+ Format of explaining is very clear. Concise yet covers the details of events properly.+ Illustrations are impressive.Only one concern:-There are a couple of explicit images which make it not so suitable for younger kids.My opinion is that these images could have been easily kept out of the book and it would have been perfect.Hence one less star!
