My briquettes arrived quickly and in good shape only a few were cracked or chipped. Used the grill the other day. Everything seemed fine. Very satisfied so far.

I just replaced my gas grill's burner, so I am using these briquettes to replace the old burnt-up crusty briquettes that were in my grill. These new briquettes arrived very well-packed and none were broken other than a few very small chips on the corners of a few...there were no cracks down the middle and 95% or more were perfect and other 5% were perfectly usable. My old briquettes were shaped like a piece of charcoal with the top and bottom slightly curved so they did not sit great on the metal grate above the burner. These new Mr. Bar-B-Q briquettes are flat on the bottom which makes the new briquettes much easier to place on the lower metal grate just above the burner, and the flat bottom makes these new briquettes more stable and they won't get bounced/shuffled around if I have to move my grill a short distance. The flame with the new burner and these new briquettes is very consistent and I'm glad I made these improvements to my grill.

This grill is very good and worth buying.

I used these briquettes on a medium sized bbq grill. I had replaced the burner, grill surface and rock grate, so I wanted to replace the aging lava rocks as well. These briquettes work OK, there’s not really much to work or not work. The only thing worth mentioning is the package states it is for a large sized grill. As mentioned, mine is a medium sized grill. I barely had enough to cover the rock grate. The instructions state to gap the briquettes about 1/4”. I had to gap mine a little more than this. If I had a large grill, there would be no way these would cover.

I have a natural gas grill running off the gas line of the house. Really convenient to not have to deal with buying propane tanks or charcoal. The briquettes only seem to last one grilling season as they really seem to break down pretty quickly when anything acidic or sugar ingredients like in BBQ drips down on them. Nice to find replacement briquettes that seemed to last longer than the ones I bought previously. But if you often cook on the grill and I do, these will break down like any other ones do, it's just how it goes.

Line up with ease

I rehabbed my Broilmaster gas grill earlier this spring, with new cooking grids, new burner, and these new ceramic briquettes. The gas grill industry has moved away from lava rocks and ceramic briquettes in recent years, so I was unable to find them locally. Thankfully, Amazon had what I needed to help make my grill like new again. These briquettes are smaller and denser than the original ones, which had begun to disintegrate with age. They distribute heat effectively with no more hot spots, and they help prevent flare-ups, caused by dripping grease. I can't yet speak to longevity, as they have only been in place for about a month, but in general, I am pleased with their performance.

As you can see, this pack of briquettes will cover 22x14 inches. On top of the ceramic briquettes, I put lava rocks.

These little briquettes are exactly what my old grill needed. It so much better now, heat is more even, and retains heat better, so it gets a little hotter. Awesome.
