An Indestructible Addition to my Club Swinging Practice
Retrospec 5lb Steel Club: A Small Wonder for Big WorkoutsLet's face it, sometimes picking up a new workout tool feels like a gamble. But with the Retrospec 5lb Steel Club, consider it a lucky roll of the dice (or, you know, a well-placed click on "add to cart").Sure, I already had a few 5lb clubs gathering dust in the corner. Bulky and awkward, they never quite fit the bill. Enter the Retrospec Steel Club: a compact powerhouse that's a joy to swing. It feels secure and comfortable in your hand, despite its surprising heft. The shorter length might take a moment to adjust to, but trust me, it quickly becomes an asset, allowing for smooth and dynamic movements.Don't let the size or weight fool you - this club packs a punch! It's a fantastic investment that will have you wondering why you didn't discover it sooner. Highly recommend!

I love it already ~
I just got this thing. I’ve been waiting for it. Yet, with mixed apprehension. I’ve recently had shoulder surgery and have some pretty severe neurological issues going on. So, I wanted something to help me rehab. Issue for me - I’ve been an avid weightlifter for decades and I’m used to heavy weights. When I saw these - I figured they were a little overboard with telling people to get the lighter weights to start. Even so - I figured: I’ve never used these. Although I have a kettlebell. These are different. And - they were right. It was packed well. I will say - I purchased other items also, so it was in a bigger box. Knowing Amazon’s packing- I doubt they’d send it in this little one.Over all A++++. I love this thing. You feel it in your core. It’s just the right weight for me now rehabbing. I see it helping greatly. I got the 5 lb for now. However, I do foresee myself going higher in weight as the days progress. If you’re on the fence. Get one before the prices go up. This company seems to be very competitive and they have the best prices for a real quality item. I’m very pleased with my purchase. I wish I’d done it sooner. This is NOT a paid review.

A little short to get the necessary leverage
This is an okay club, but the handle is quite heavy considering its overall length.Once I became accustomed to the weight, I was able to add a rubber baseball bat sleeve. This did two things—it added a little bit of weight (~18oz) and shifted the center of mass much further away from my hand. That shift makes it swing much better. I’ve moved on to heavier weights, but this still gets use for warmups and for days when my shoulders feel tight.I’d recommend this to beginners—the price is right, and it is well made.

Stubbier than other brands
Good feel and sits better on the floor than brands with narrower clubs. Retrospec is stubbier which I like.

Simple yet very effective.
The best thing to do when first getting one of these is to look up all the different routines you can do with this item. If your room is not big enough to swing a mace bell around for either shoulder rocks or any other movements that require a lot of space, this club is a must. Its weight, shape, and size are just as effective as a standard Mace bell with similar routines. Your arms, shoulders, and core will certainly feel the burn if done correctly.
