works as intended and fixes cold blower
My 2012 535i started to blow cold although the setting is 80 F and has enough coolant. After some researching and confirming from the dealer, this part was the culprit. Basically, its stuck in closed position and the blower blows cold air no matter what the setting is.I got some help from youtube videos on the replacement. Although it took me about one hour, it should definitely take less than that if you have the proper tools such as the hose clamp plier. Its attached to a power source clip, easy to pull but, releasing the hose clamps is definitely a challenge especially since they are sitting at hard-to-reach area in the engine bay.Definitely recommend if you are able to do so. The dealer quoted me almost $800 for the same job with the OEM part.

Worked perfectly
Worked perfect, identical to the BMW one (even had the BMW part number engraved on it minus the BMW roundel, of course).My situation was warm-ish air on the driver side, freezing cold air on the passenger side, of my 2011 BMW 535I (F10). Before replacing this, i had already checked coolant level and performed the coolant bleeding procedure with no improvement. Replacing this heater control valve was the next logical step. This fixed it!

Did not come with the pictured rebuild kit
Disappointed that my box came with just the part, not the extra rebuild kit in the picture. This part is made in China. Replaced my factory part with the Bosch brand name, made in France. The part works OK, although there's now a distinct whirring noise whenever the heat is on. There was no noise with the original part. The installation was a huge chore. Took an hour loosening tight coolant hoses in hard to reach places. I'm too lazy to take it off again, so I'm keeping it. If I could do it over, I'd buy OEM.

2012 535i - exact fit, works well
The heat in my car was not coming on, so I researched that this component was the likely problem. I was able to replace this unit with hand tools in less than an hour. The heater now works as it should.

Stopped working after 2 months.
Stopped working after 2 months. There's no contact information to be able to request a warranty. It's outside of amazon's return window...so how do I get a replacement?
