Use this to pierce eggs before steaming. Pressure is a little hard and egg burst into piercer. It has small holes and was troublesome to get clean.

works well for duck eggs
duck eggs are a pain to peel after hard boiling this helps them from cracking and i think it also helped the shell to separate from the membrane

Fits Large Eggs!
Love this egg cup and cutter. I've never had this luxury before--it's a delight to not burn my fingers attempting to open a soft boiled egg. Now I can make fond memories of dippy eggs and toast with my grandchildren, so thank you.

Pretty good
Quality material. Maybe I'm just not doing it correctly, but I can't get the top of the shell to cleanly remove from the egg.

I'd go without one.
It is inconsistent. I tried giving it the benefit of the doubt. It's a bigger learning curve that I expected. And I'm not a dinosaur. OK? Lol. It neither cuts the top off perfectly all the time, nor peels the top off with a straight edge. Most of the time I find myself either putting the tool aside and just doing it by hand or slottering the chick. Haha
