Don't know if it works, but whomever put the barcode over the dosing directions needs to be aware of how important it is! It tore the dosing directions when I tried to remove barcode sticker from it. 😫

I had no idea that chicks and ducks need vitamins sometimes as well as extra vitamin D in order to assimilate calcium. The lady at the local farm store told us they really need this particular vitamin and it is spoke of on the website, "Backyard Chickens". It is the same price on Amazon so we are never without it now. Whenever one stops eating from cold, age etc. we give a syringe or two in the mouth for a few days. We have learned to give it right on the food nearly every day for upkeep now and have not lost any birds since.

I used this product for a sick hen (coccidia) after treating her with Corid. A couple oral doses seemed to help her back to good health. The eyedropper, provided with the product, although helpful for measuring dose (marked on dropper) was a little messy to administer. I'm not sure, however, that there is a non-messy way to administer anything liquid to a hen that doesn't want to be dosed. :)

This is a good vitamin for chickens

It was more expensive online but I needed it.
