Timberland PROMen's Endurance 8" PR Work Boot

Half the price and just as good as my RedWings
Very happy with the quality, comfort, and value I have experienced with these boots so far. Writing this only a couple weeks after purchase so time will tell if initial impressions remain true.I have worn the same Redwing model boot for the past almost 20 years, replacing them ever 2+ years because they begin to leak. They are literally twice the price of these (although these are not cheap either!). I always considered them worth the money because they are so comfortable, durable, waterproof up to the top of the boot (8" as well as these), highly puncture resistant, and resist all kinds of chemicals, and have the much needed safety toe. I also love the speed lace section at the top.I work in construction running heavy equipment. In the Spring and Fall I am regularly in mud or puddles well over the ankles. Also walk on things like demolition concrete, asphalt, and even glass (which has syringes and other hazardous items) throughout the year. Puddles at our yard can contain hazardous chemicals. I never give a second thought to my boots until I feel a little dampness - time to get another pair of $400 boots! This time I decided to try to find something similar but less expensive - very hard to do!! I bought another brand before these Timberland Pro's and it didn't go well! They were not quite the same as they didn't have the speed laces (didn't realize how much time I saved not having to lace up the last 3 spots every time!) I had to return 2 pair: 1st pair had a tear near a seam (which let in chemicals from a puddle which burned my foot!), and the 2nd pair leaked within 2 weeks! They were also 1/4 the price of the RedWings. Time to try again.Found these after much searching and they are an ideal substitute with the speed laces, safety toe, waterproof, puncture resistant, etc. I was hoping for them to be lighter than the RedWings (6.4lbs for both boots total), but they are exactly the same. First observation opening the box was that to me they do look like they are 1/2 the price of the RedWings, but mainly because the leather is not smooth. The fit is excellent and true to size. I have to say after a couple days of break-in, they are super comfortable and more like hikers than the 'Wings. Even though they are the exact same weight, they FEEL lighter! I have put them through the paces and up to near the top in water/mud with no problem at all! I don't know how they will fare for puncture resistance yet, but I'm confident they will be fine. The pattern on the sole is excellent for traction (even in snow/ice) but at the same time they clean off pretty easily which helps keep the cab of the excavator clean!Overall, very happy and highly recommend! Seem to be a $400 boot for only $200 that's even more comfortable - can't go wrong there!

Quality, Support, Comfort, Protection, Endurance....Honestly everything you want in a workboot!
Great improvement from previous Timberland boots that my husband purchased about 10 years ago. He said these boots are probably the best boots he's worn in 20 yrs at his job working 12hr shifts 5 or 6 days a week totalling about 65hrs a week. He was very irritated that i bought them because of the problems he had with his previous pair but is so happy now that I did. He didn't get any blisters like you usually do with new boots. He said the comfort, support, durability, quality, is far better than boots twice this price. He said the boots offer great ankle, arch, heel & back support. They are a lil heavier than any boot he's worn but the support is worth it when you're standing on cement all day. He said the steel toe & puncture resistant technology has kept him from foot injury twice already. Great traction & moisture control as needed for his job where its extremely hot & sweaty almost year round. It feels like he's walking on a cushion and his feet now last all day without throbbing instead of killing him after 6hrs. He wants me to purchase another pair in case he cant find them when they eventually wear out. He said he bends, squats, lifts and turns and the boots allow you to move without giving up the support to keep you from losing your balance! Amazing boots!!

overall a good purchase.
I have been very happy with the Timberland line of boots. these are pretty wide and I am a 12 wide they are a bit wider than that. with thick socks they fit perfect. very comfortable, when i am on my feet all day flagging my back doesn't hurt like it used to with other brands out there. I am not overly happy with the water repellant quality of this boot, I stood in a down pour flagging for 3 1/2 hrs and my right foot was completely soaked left foot toe box was wet the rest was dry. anyway other than that they are good.

Very good boot
This is the second pair of boots I have ordered from timberland. The previous pair were the Timberland PRO 11685594 Mens Helix 6" Alloy Safety Toe Boot. I decided to try these as the Helix had gone up in price.First the Pros: This is a very well made boot. The fit was as expected although there was a short break in period. Both this pair and my previous pair are quite comfortable to wear. I stand on concrete for 10+ hours a day during the work week and these have been joint savers. I would, however, give a slight edge in comfort to the Helix model. One of my favorite design aspects of this model is the rubber toe guard. My only really negative with the Helix model was that the leather fairly quickly wore through revealing the alloy toe guard. I do not think that will be an issue on these. Overall these are a great boot and I expect them to last at least as long as my Helix pair, which was about 2 years. The Cons: There are not many but as I said before these are slightly less comfortable than my Helix model. I have noticed a tendency of these to sometimes cause callouses on the outside of each but toe. This is not a huge deal as it is not so much an issue of pain or anything but it does seem that maybe there is some uneven pressure in the toe section of the boot. One other negative is that if you have to do a lot of kneeling, or stooping I would suggest going with a 6" design. I end up not lacing these all the way because if I do I get some strain on my ankle joint when kneeling to work on something. My only other real complaint was the shoe strings with these. They are already wearing out, as did my previous pair. Replacements wear out even quicker though so I would suggest looking at perhaps a Kevlar boot strong as I believe the eyes or hooks must be wearing away these standard laces.Overall I would rate these as an excellent boot and have been very satisfied with the Timberland brand.

Buenos materiales y acabados
The media could not be loaded. La piel de estas botas es resistente y blanda, se sienten muy bien, son verdaderamente cómodas y no te cansas con ellas, el único punto negativo es el peso, son muy pesadas en cada paso golpeo el piso, debo levantar más las piernas para caminar

Sizing is exact on this quality boot.
My husband ordered these as a replacement for a sixteen-year-old pair of Carhartt steel-toed boots from which the soles had rotted away. He is pleased with everything about these boots. The fit was perfect, they were comfortable from the start, though naturally a little stiff which loosened up after three or four wearings. He was a little concerned at first because the laces came captured in the top three loops. Upon closer examination, he realized that the loops were designed with an open end as well for speed-lacing (like his former Carhartts) which makes lacing for a snug fit much easier. All-in-all, an excellent boot. A touch expensive, but as he says, a poor man can't afford cheap boots or tools.

Improves quality of life after a hard day at work
This is the best boot ever made. These things are like walking on a cloud. Lots of people complain about the durability but Ive never had issues as long as they are fully dried out before using. These aren’t gum boots, they’re not made to stand in mud or water for extended periods of time without being dried out. Sometimes, I have to work 16 hour days as a heavy duty tech and until I found these boots, it felt like I had ran a marathon with a 40 pound weight vest on. If you want to save your feet and your back, these boots are #1 on the market. You aren’t buying these to last 3 years. You’re buying them to improve your quality of life after you get the job done.
