Heritage Valley 100% Sorghum Syrup, 1 Gallon Jug

I finally found real sorghum syrup (not molasses) I remember from my childhood! This product has the authentic sorghum flavor I grew up with and loved. I wasn't sure anyone even made the real stuff anymore! It is not the usual expected taste of molasses, maple syrup, or honey that gets so boring after a while. Now as a Gluten-Free foodie, I appreciate that it isn't overly sweet and adds such a unique flavor to so many of my recipes. It has given a richness and depth to all my Gluten Free baking (cookies, breakfast bars, granola, cakes). Love adding it to whole grain mustard for a glaze to use on grilled meats or salmon. I drizzle it over roasted vegetables and add it to baked beans. Makes a great sorghum vinaigrette, too! Totally worth the price to me. I keep finding new ways to use this. Definitely a find!

I have been a avid sweet sorghum syrup customer for more than 30 years. I was a little hesitant on purchasing after reading some of the reviews but I am glad I took the plunge because this syrup is by far my favorite. It has a strong sorghum flavor that is great for cooking and baking. I don't like the thicker syrup brands that don't have much sorghum flavor. If I wanted something that was only sweet I would buy corn syrup. I even used it in my home brew beer which added a great amount of flavor. I will be purchasing again!

Not as good as I expected, not sweet, has a very bitter taste, Shipping cost are way out of line. Would not buy again. Al

Heritage Valley's syrup adds delicious flavor to any meal. I have glazed baked salmon, made oatmeal raisin cookies, and have drizzled it over ice cream. Absolutely delicious! I recommend trying this sweet sorghum syrup as an alternative sweetener for any dish.

I have been using sorghum for 50 years. This stuff is terrible. I had an unpleasant taste in my mouth and throat for hours after I sampled it. My first thought was they washed the jug in some kind of chemical but didn't rinse it out. It also was very runny, Real sorghum is thick.I don't dare use it. The whole gallon is headed for the garbage can. I am a senior on Social Security and I really can't afford this loss.

initially I thought this was a little too thin and a little too strong flavor. However, it is perfect for sourdough pancake flavoring and for sourdough rye bread in lieu of molasses

This was delivered very quickly, and it is delicious! Gave as a gift, and the recipient waxed nostalgic, as she grew up on a farm and her dad made his own. She was very pleased. Thank you!
