When I got this in the mail I was definitely not ready for it. As soon as I opened the package I heard a horn bellow from afar as if Heimdall was blowing Gjall. As I lifted it from its box I felt a presence and turned to see Thor standing there, bowing slightly to the majesty of this most amazing mug. As I washed it is could hear Freyja whispering to me about the greatness to come. I filled it with beer and when I looked into the glass I could see the Visage of Odin himself looking fondly back from the suds. The first sip caused hair to grow on my chest, face, and back. I felt the bloodlust of battle flow through me and screamed at the sky for hours, never growing hoarse. As I finished the libation I felt the presence of a Valkyrie who asked if I wished to be escorted to Valhalla. When I arrived Odin told me I had to wait for death but a seat would be waiting in his hall. So if you want to drink like a real viking just get this magical horn mug and the gods themselves will applaud your manliness. Now for a serious review. High quality. Both the mug and shotglass are sealed perfectly. And they are both beautiful. I thought at first they were almost completely black but when I put it in sunlight it showed all the detail. Great product.

If you are torn between this and another product, let me nudge you over the edge. 1. It's a great product as it is. This thing is huge, and the way they seal the bottom blends in much better than a hunk of wood as you'll see on other such epic drinking devices. 2. It comes with a cool shot glass you might not know you wanted until you have it. 3. Most importantly, the customer service really IS great. My drinking horn arrived without a shot glass. I emailed them (website is on the box) and got a response 15 minutes later asking for my address. After I responded, the handle broke off of the drinking horn, (which is exceedingly rare, I'm told. It's an organic product. You can't be 100% sure of its strength, so I don't knock them for it.). I emailed back about that, and was told a new mug and shot glass was on its way. It landed on my doorstep the very next day. Support this great company and get your badass drinking horn from them!

Fantastic! If you are looking for one of quality, look no further. Will make any man (or woman) feel like a Viking. You'll want to run outside after a few swigs from this and pillage the neighborhood. Makes any beer taste better by weaving in the magic of Valhalla to whatever you put in here; beer, mead, chocolate milk, apple juice... Its a beautifully made cup. And the natural patterns in the horn are really cool looking. Worth the money to be sure. There was a slight issue with mine but I can tell you I've rarely if ever experienced the level of service as I did from this seller. The response time and the solution were amazing. I can assure you that if you have any kind of problem with this product, it will be addressed quickly and beyond your expectations.

Horn and shot glass arrived on time and were neat but the horn had some slight chipping on the outside. After using it 2 times, a hole opened up and started leaking liquid. The return process was pretty straight forward and successful but I'm hesitant to buy another to have to go through the same process, since other reviews mention this issue. The shot glass was fine but I sent it back with the horn for the refund. Update: after several months, I decided to try and get another one. The same thing happened. :( Cup had a hole, shot glass was fine. I guess it wasn't meant to be. Pretty disappointed since my husband loved this as a gift. Edited again- contacted the seller and he sent me a new one, free of charge. He said to melt some beeswax in it to prevent long term leaks. The new one looks like it could potentially get a hole in it too but I'm planning on trying the wax idea.

So.... after getting hooked on Norse mythology and discovering mead. I needed one of these in my life. Unfortunately when it arrived I noticed blemishes where you grip the handle like it was missing finish, it felt rough and didn't look pleasant, then I got hit with the smell. I'm not sure how to describe the smell but it was awful, between the two I knew I wasn't going to keep it. So I put in for a return and boxed it up. The next day when I got off work I was going to drop it off and then reorder again thinking it was just a fluke. Around lunch time I got a email from the seller. He requested pics of the mug where it was missing some finish. So I unpacked it and emailed him photos. He offered to send a new one out so I canceled my return. There''s other mugs I was looking at from a different seller but they have a lot of 1 stars about the bottoms leaking and falling apart. The new one arrived. JUST WOW!!!! I can't say enough about it. It's absolutely beautiful. This time I purposefully sniffed it and sure, there was a slight smell, totally different from the toxic smell of the other one. It was probably just from sitting in a box and bubble wrap. I washed it with soap and water and no more smell. In fact I have a bit of mead in it now that I'm drinking as I write this. I did try to wash the other one out with soap and water but nope. The smell will not go away. So things happen.. if you happen to get one in bad shape. Take a photo and show the seller. Problem solved. Otherwise I can tell you you'll be very happy with this mug. It looks absolutely stunning. And really makes you feel like Sif and Freya are watching over you in Asgard ;)
