Zero Forks: An Opposites Attract Romance (Small Town Secrets) Paperback – July 22, 2020

We return to Mudville and Boone gets his story! Although this is part of a series, it can definitely be enjoyed as a stand-alone. If you have read the other books that take place in Mudville, you’ll be able to enjoy seeing those characters reappear. And if this is your first visit to that small town, I think it’s safe to say that you’ll want to check out the other books and learn more about it and Boone’s older brothers.Boone, our hero in this book, is sincerely one of the good guys. Kind, hard-working, handsome, charming … a bit of a ladies’ man, but not in a sleazy way at all. Sarah, our heroine, is the “older woman” by a little more than a decade. She is a hard-working career woman who has had her heart broken, and has pretty much given up on love.jI don’t like giving spoilers because I think it’s best to let the story unfold in the way the author wants it to when you read the book. I will say though, that the way Boone gallantly effortlessly sweeps her off her feet is absolutely perfect. Logical realist Sarah finds herself torn between the shadows of her past, her preconceptions about age, and the reality of the man from Mudville who has come into her life. Sarah’s young nephew Stewie is critical to the plot and is a fun character in his own right. As Boone provides babysitting for Stewie, he also works on showing Sarah that their hearts matter more than their ages.

I was excited for Boone's story, but this was more than I imagined! And for as much as this story takes place in Mudville, there was more focus on Boone and his interest AND the Morgan Family Farm! But, still many of the characters we've come to love were present too! Just a great story with may laughs and a unique title! Love it!

I will admit that this book started out a little slower for me. I don't know why. The characters were great and I enjoyed the introduction but it just took a little longer to get into. I'm glad I stuck with it though, I really grew to like it. I think the reason was Sarah. While I understood her and her concerns, it just didn't pop for me.I loved Boone. I have enjoyed his character throughout this whole series and I'm glad we got his book. He was the perfect gentleman with a naughty side. He just oozed charm. I loved that he knew when to push and also when to pull back.

Sarah is suddenly responsible for her three year old nephew while her sister is deployed. She is on her was back to the city after lick my him up when she stops in Mudville to get him something to eat. No-one helps her unlock the car with Stewie inside sleeping. Then he convinced her to rent the Van Due Berg house and he would be the nanny so she can commute with to work. when sparks fly she tries to convince Boone that he is too young for her. But he thinks age is jyst A number and it doesn't matter that she is older than him. Can he convince her to see things his way or will she continue to fight her feelings for him? I love how this plays out.

Each book of the series gets better and better. Love Sarah and Boone’s story of older woman/ younger man. Gives women hope. Cat Johnson is an amazing story teller and character writer.

These stories keep getting better and better! The tale of Boone and Sarah had even more than the others. These two were so opposite I was afraid it would never happen but when they did it was explosive, hot, tender and hilarious. I never thought Boone had it in him, what a man.

Top book so far in this series for me! Sarah is a marketing executive who takes on her three yr old nephew when her sister Liza gets deployed. What the hell is she going to do now? A stop at the diner in Mudville may just change everything! Boone is a man of many talents. In a matter of a few hours, he manages to become the live in manny for Stewie. There may be ulterior motives behind it, like an attraction to the lovely older woman! Now all he has to do is make her see just how good it could be! This book was sweet, sexy and oh so fun to read! Check out this series today!

Bodacious Boone met cautious Sarah and it was on! Rhythms nation began with their chance meeting and the beat got stronger as each day passed. I loved the older-younger trope. Glad her resistance didn't last long. Good story.

I am loving the mudville series. Another great book from my go to author. I love all of Cat Johnson's books. Boone is such a sweet genuine guy. You will love his story. He deserves his H.E.A.
