Wow ❤️🔥
Honestly i was so damn angry, happy, sad, so emotional and sometimes i was irritated with holly about her decisions or how confusing she was, but eventually it's the truth everyone is flawed and this book shows so much and not just some stupid teenagers..... though Xander is going to be one of my fav! Cinnamon roll Sweetie pie!! His patience, thoughtfulness his words his everything is so beautiful mannnn!!!Plus all the other characters are unexpectedly great it showed how genuinely their personality is 🤌🏻 and that's the one thing some stories and books lack, but not this one. Last but not least i was kind of surprised why holly was so confused about her feelings and denying it but later her family and their parents ended up separating and how it affected her and I'm glad the author wrote about that because that was really unexpected for me.Lastly I'm really really happy i read this book and it felt like, it's like one of those books where you actually interact with the stories and the characters and fund yourself in them😮💨

That's how you Do fake dating plot
Enemies to lovers with fake dating.Yes. Totally love this book , even on the re read. This one gives enough space for the relationship to organically grow. Even though the self doubts in the end were not needed, overall I enjoy this book.

Amazing book! I am a total fan of a high school romance....and this made it more gooey....just wish the author had also captured the POV of the lead guy as well.

Overall good!
This story was quite good. Though it has the cliche high school best friend love and bad-boy love, it's good.

Appearances of a Page turner!
If you love cheesy, mushy, cliche Rom-com's then you're going to like this book! And I can promise you will not want to put this down. If that isn't your type you are not going to enjoy this book or at least as much.I personally love this type of story. Especially for those days you need some light hearted fun and fluffiness. That being said this story still has lots of heart. It's a lengthy book for this type of story and yet I loved that aspect. It has some meat to it. I felt like I truly learned each one of the characters thru the eyes of the main heroine. Holly made me remember what it was like to be a teenager again. (A thirty one year old adult here who still loves to read YA novels on occassion. Ok like 75% of the time.) Her unrequited love for her best friend and the sting of betrayal she felt when her two best friends "hook up" made me understand this character from the beginning. And her decision to then "fake date" the King of the Bows was as I saw it a distraction for her. She may have said it was to initially make her best friend realize what he lost. But I'd like to think it was also a distraction for Holly to not feel the hurt and betrayal. But when Holly introduced me to Xander aka King Douche he stole the show. Or at least stole my heart, right along with Holly's from the start. His unwavering loyalty and compassion for Holly and her pleight had my knees swooning and falling for him more every time his character was around. He truly was the best for Holly. Allowed her to express herself and truly be who she was.Holly gets it right, everybody wants to belong and feel wanted. And so many of us get wrapped up in appearances and what others expect from us that we forget to be ourselves. Especially when we are younger. So many teenagers feel these exact same feelings day after day. And I hope for their sake some of them might take a cue from Holly and Xander and all of the Bows. Now I wouldn't suggest any "fake dating" but I would suggest doing in essence what Holly inevitably did. Reach out of their own personal comfort zone and experience different things and meet new people. Make your own decisions and choices, don't just blindly follow. Be your own person. That was Holly's biggest lesson. And in some ways I'm still kind of like her and need to be reminded of that every so often. So all in all. Give this book a chance and you just might learn a thing or two. And although there is some depth and meat here, trust me there is still enough cheesy and mushiness to make you girls sigh and roll your eyes at. But if you're anything like this reader it's one of your guiltiest pleasures.Happy Reading!

Team Bowdeen!
I loved this book! Holly loves Jason. Jason, Holly and Nancy have been friends forever. Holly decides she is going to tell Jason hoe she feels but her world crashes when she sees Jason and Nancy together at school. Devastated she runs straight into the arms of King of the bows. Jason's arch enemy. Xander is popular, a player and full of himself. Or is he? He suggests they fake date so she can make Jason jealous and he can get one over on Jason and keep all his girl fans at bay. Holly agrees and in doing so moves over to the dark side of the Bows. Dander isn't what she had him pegged as. Dander is funny and thoughtful and his friends aren't the spoiled and conceited bunch she thought they were. As time goes on the fake dating starts to feel very real and she starts to like being Xanders fake girlfriend but what if he doesn't feel the same? A story of love friendship and learning to not make judgements about people. The love that grows between these two is just gorgeous, you can't help but root for them and feel every emotion they feel. Great story, great characters, beautifully written.

Great read
Another great read from Elizabeth. So many characters, all really well developed, and a relevant storyline for all young adults

Cute, sweet, a high school romance with heart
Teen romance is not my thing. I’m typically much darker, and dirtier, but we all need a little sweet sometimes, and this one satisfied my craving perfectly. It’s funny, in some of the reviews I read there was the implication that the characters were very two dimensional. I didn’t get that at all. I loved Holly and Xander, but more than that, I loved how they communicated. It was very emotionally mature, and both of them demonstrated character growth IMO. The supporting characters were well written as well. Everything came together to make a cohesive story with interesting characters and a sweet high school romance with just the right amount of angst. Was it clichéd? Sure, and honestly what high school romance isn’t (with the obvious exception to The Duff, which is in a class of its own)? So, the story isn’t new, but it’s sweet and engaging. Well worth the read.
