I don't know if the product has a shelf life, but with previous products I have purchased the larger size and most goes to waste. This product size was perfect minimal amount will be wasted if I don't use it. As for its performance two days no leaks so I would say it works at least in the short term. I've tried to do reviews after the fact and either I don't know how to or it only allows some individuals but I would like to revisit this product in a few months as this is where hi temperature sealers that are sub par fail. If I figure it out I will re visit this review. As in my case is a critical thread that I am using it for and two days does not reflect anything yet. I just don't want to mislead anyone. It does work but like I mentioned so far two days.
